Got my Seagull Pro "ultra fine" 250um basket today. It actually looks coarser than the original! Looking at it with a loop, it has 5.5 holes/rows per 1/10". The original has 6-6.6, which to me says it's finer mesh. I just ran a cycle, debris doesn't look different. Not worth the $30 it...

Plug-in to charge is definitely worth $30 extra! Mine runs 48 hours even if cloudy. The Aiper version advertises 12 hours runtime, if that's true, the SE Plus is a much better deal.

Betta is worth $358 imo, it's known reliable. I'd but directly from Betta with warranty (same price). Matching would be nice as long as there's no problems. I wouldn't be surprised if Betta makes both, they look so similar.

I'm curious, since it has a 2 year warranty, does the 3 year make it 5 total? Aiper is good about 30 day money back (I'm sure Walmart is too), and they're good about repairs. No clue about Allstate.

My Pro has no issues, I'm sure the S1 won't have any. Mine has 12-18" radii. It climbs to about the top of the radius then backs up. Gets all the debris around the edges. Does get confused occasionally, seems to rotate a lot when there's no need. If you watch it for a while, you'll think...

Wall mode works well, but you need to start it to the left of stairs (it moves ccw). My stairs mess it up.

Pretty sure it started out ok, but I did return it for another reason (I don't remember why, I think it quit charging). So the new one they sent had the hard to turn knob. It's like it's got a burr, and once you get out past it, it's no problem. Haven't had to use channel locks on it yet.

It's a design flaw. It is hard to turn, but not seized up. Takes 2 hands, but once you get it off "off", it turns easily. I'm not sure if all of them do this, but I didn't think it was worth returning since I can turn it. I've run it 50-60 cycles in the past year without issue. Hopefully...

See if you can exchange for the Seagull Pro, basically same price. My pool is kidney with big radii between bottom and walls. I'd say it hits 99% of the floors in floor mode and 95% of the wall in wall mode.

The Dolphins I looked at are 4000 per hour = 66. I think the Pro spec may be bogus. I would think the stronger the suction, the more resistance to move (but the better vacuuming).

Seems the Pro does 130gpm vs S1 70gpm flow rate. So my Pro "sucks" more. I can't image the S1 not going up any slope, the drive motors are certainly powerful enough since it climbs walls. Mine does "act like" it doesn't, sometimes it gets halfway up and backs up, or spins 400 degrees, or...

When/if the lights on the Betta turn red, charge it. My charger light is red for about 2.5 hours, then turns green when fully charged. You might send support a message.

I run my pump at 2500 for an hour in the morning, then 1750 for 10 hours. I have flow 50% drain, 50% skimmer. Got stuck occasionally, so I put a bumper on the skimmer. Runs fine now.

Mine's 8' to 3.5'. I'd say 75% deep, 25% the rest for the Seagull Pro.

The Seagull Pro is on sale cheaper than the S1. They both seem to have the same specs. If I were buying today, I'd probably buy the S1 because I hate the Pro knob. No clue if any coupons work with the 48 hour sale.

I'm tempted to throw a little Fiber-Clear in it to see if it collects finer dust (I use it in my DE filter). Waiting on their fine filter release!

Curious what's hard about cleaning the basket? What's that dome thing on the lid, does it remove? I just dump my Seagull basket without hosing it half the time.

How long does the S1 run just doing the floor? My Seagull spends more time in the deep, but does hit the whole pool (3 hour cycle).

I seldom take it out. I sometimes wipe it off when I clean the basket

"Lower suction" really? Shouldn't have anything to do with drive motors. Should do ramps with no problem.
