Alright! I think I'm in business. I turned the valve the 90 degrees and the heater ran (in pool mode) for a good 5 1/2 minutes with no problems. I"m out the door for the day, but I will run it again as soon as a I can, and in spa mode, but I think it's working. Thanks for the help!

Not sure. It was at around 2600 rpm's. I bumped it up to 3100 last week on advice that could be the problem. Would you suggest adjusting the RPM's back down and rotating that valve?

Wow. ok. Is that as simple as turning it 180 degrees the opposite way? Or a quarter turn? That is a valve I've never touched.

Thanks. The wiring looks fine, a little dusty, but intact with no bare wire showing. I was pretty cautious ensuring the wires were placed back correctly. In fact, the wiring for one wasn't long enough to connect it to the incorrect part.

No, the temp display shows the water temp. It no longer spikes. I tested the new thermal regulator before I installed it and it worked. I also tested the old one and it did not work. No photos and here is where I'm at: Pool mode and heater on: 52 seconds of heat/hot exhaust followed by thirty...
