Ttrying to prepare the ground before we get the pool

You should be proud and doesn't it feel good when all your hard work finally shows. You will be glad you put the extra time and effort into the set up. I know I was/am. Can't wait to see it full!

Ttrying to prepare the ground before we get the pool

Everything looks great. You did a lot today. Just make sure you put a level on the vertical of your legs to make sure they are straight. With my water pressure it took around 24 hours to fill mine. I timed how long it took to fill a gallon bucket and did the math. And I thought I would never...

Ttrying to prepare the ground before we get the pool

It is best if the photo is in a 72 dpi jpg format and no larger than 256k. The site has a 256k file size limit. If it is larger than that it will not upload.

Ttrying to prepare the ground before we get the pool

KeriAnne, Welcome to forum. I put in a 16"x48" last year and document my prep at the below thread. My pool was and still is no more than 1/4" off level. See if you can get some ideas from my post. my-2-years-2-pools-build-project-in-pics-t44761.html Good luck.

GC, Yes I intended to set my pumps up in parallel. I set them up that way to get the max water movement out of otherwise very week pumps seperatly.

Thanks 1380Ken. I did not like the small amount of water circulation with the one pump. The two together gives a nice flow. I clean my filters once a week. There are a lot of trees around my yard and if they drop leaves they end up in the pool (which they are because we are about 12" below our...

Yard fairly level, not sure where to go now

As the pool fills up and puts pressure on the liner and legs you will be able to adjust them up to a point. Do not let the pool fill up to far before adjusting. There will come a point when there will be to much pressure on the legs to move them. You will need to put your level on them to make...

Thanks Taterfink. Yes landscaping is in the works. Planning for a deck on the left side with a ramp access instead of steps so my mother can get to it and a removable ramp entry into the pool. Also plan to put up an 8 foot privacy fence (we have nosy neighbors). In side the fence we plan to...

Thinking of new pool, ground preparation questions

Zinder, if you are talking about putting up a Metal Frame pool it might be of some help to take a look at my install thread. my-2-years-2-pools-build-project-in-pics-t44761.html It starts off with my first install of an inflatable ring pool then to my 16' metal frame. Even if you are planning...

Yard fairly level, not sure where to go now

I dug my pavers in so they were level with the ground then put the tarp down over them. You can see my project at this thread. Hope it helps. my-2-years-2-pools-build-project-in-pics-t44761.html The process is a lot of work but well worth it in the end. My pool is still no more than 1/4" out of...

Casey, I understand the not digging part. Sorry about your dog. We are a rescue house and have had as many as 7 but only have 5 now and I love them all. None of them like to swim thou. Thanks linen. This is it, not doing it again even for a bigger pool. This one is all we need..........maybe...

Thanks. Yes I am very proud and proud that it is complete. At least getting the pool up is complete. It does feel good that all my hard work resulted in a good install. My OCPD kind of took control and while leveling if that darn bubble was not perfectly in the middle it drove me crazy...

Thanks everyone for your replies. Casey, sorry I have sworn this is my last pool build. Jessasaurus, if you take a look at picture number 31 you will see the tarp is rolled up next to the pool. This picture was taken before any water was put into the pool. With the tarp rolled up it was easy...

As an added note. I will some day upgrade the filter pump that came with my new pool. For now I put the old pump from the ring pool and the new pump together. It is working great. Lots of water movement and the pool side skimmer works much better with the two pumps hooked up. Next is the...
