That helps a lot. With my current level of 40 (which is okay this time of year I believe) it will take apps 7 pounds of stabilizer to get to 80. It will only take 1 pound to get it from 70 back to 80.

That’s some really good information. I wish there was a chart to show exactly what was needed for run times. I’ll have lots of experimenting to figure out once the water warms up enough to run my SWG. Thanks for all the help.

Pentair recommended cycling all 20K gallons every 24 hours which they calculated out to be the above settings. Wish I could run it lower, personally.

@Jimrahbe sorry, should have been more clear. I was saying that the picture (apparently known as the auto fulfill) was the device keeping the pool full, in theory eliminating the need for the float valve.

Haha that’s what all the articles say that I’ve read too. My weir door did actually come off. I have this (see picture) and it was my understanding that the function was to maintain the water level automatically. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Hello all. Purchased a skim-a-round for my new pool to keep the surface debris-free but noticed it doesn’t perform quite as advertised. I see now that this is because of my Waterway skimmer float valve. What is the drawback of removing the float valve? Thanks in advance!

@mknauss ran a full panel after an extremely heavy rain that caused my to drain water. Results are below FC 3 pH 7.8 TA 110 ppm CH 150 ppm CYA 38

Product description online said works for everyday chlorination and super chlorination.

I would say 5 FC. Color didn’t change for TC test which I read is a positive sign

40oz of MA and I’m still getting an 8 pH. Added another 40 and will retest tomorrow.

Added a gallon of chlorine and got this 24 hours later
