Has anyone had any luck with selling an Intex pool?

Mine appears to be replaceable, which I intend to do when the time comes. https://intexcorp.com/replacement-parts/12447e-32ft-x-16ft-x-52in-rectangular-ultra-frame-pool-liner/

    Jim's AGP Journey

The last swim of season 4 was on 15 September. Last winter, we watched crows stand on the edge of the pool and tear through the original Intex 10757 Pool Cover, ruining it. 😡🐦‍⬛ I suppose three winters was a pretty good run, but it cost less than that $87 MSRP to cover it with 12-mil...

    Jim's AGP Journey

Sadly, mine looks like that now, too, despite the interior remaining sealed and dry. :( Since it lasted only one year (about two months longer than the original AA batteries), and since Wi-Fi connectivity required my outdoor access point to be at max power (blasting neighbors in that direction)...

This looks like a great option, too!

    Wireless thermometer

Up to "1/4 Mile Open-Air Range" and "200 devices per hub" is amazing! Thanks for the tip. (y) https://www.amazon.com/YoLink-Weatherproof-Temperature-Sensor-Required/dp/B0BJJVD8VQ

    Wireless thermometer

Very nice! Can the chart also include air temp, humidity, wind, etc.?

    Wireless thermometer

Integration with other Ambient Weather devices presumably enables tracking of pool temp vs. air temp, humidity, and wind among other relevant factors. Super slick!

It's the IBS-P02R-O. More info in the other thread: Something flew off with the one in the pond, which was tethered!

    Intex SF80110-2 Pump/Filter Timer Bypass

    Thank you! Works great. (y)

    Jim's AGP Journey

Lightning struck a tree in our pasture and fried (among many other things) the Intex pump's GFCI plug and controller board, but this helpful post and schematic restored service prompty! No functionality has been lost, as the pump was controlled by an external timer anyway. 😥

The pool survived a third winter, and thanks to the early heat wave, season four has begun!

SlimeBag for 1/10 of the price, yes you can!

This works perfectly for my Intex (I replace the sock each season):

    Jim's AGP Journey

June wasn't a great pool month due to drifting smoke from the Canadian wildfires, but July is making up for it! Nothing really to report other than replacing the failed Intex pressure gauge with a better one using fittings that orient it for easier viewing given how my filter is positioned...

    Intex Above Ground Pool Bowing

...but the bottom will not! Eliminating wrinkles is difficult after filling more than an inch or two.

Intex 16x32 rectangular pool horizontal beam lengths

My pool is assembled, so measurements between joint depressions in the liner are 115mm for A, B, C (long side) and 117mm for D, E, F (short side).

Intex 16x32 rectangular pool horizontal beam lengths

Per the diagram, "A to C" includes B and "D to F" includes E. Are you asking for the length of each type of straight horizontal beam?

    Jim's AGP Journey

Thank you! We certainly are enjoying it. As posted in another thread, we recently added an Inkbird IBS-M2 Wi-Fi Gateway with IBS-P02R-O Thermometer: "IN" reflects air temperature and humidity measured in the box (which is warmer than ambient due to sunlight upon the box and electronics within...

    Wireless thermometer

Thanks for your testimonials, which helped inform my purchase of an Inkbird IBS-M2 Wi-Fi Gateway with IBS-P02R-O Thermometer. My pool is too far away from the house for the sensor to communicate reliably with the gateway, but as my Wi-Fi signal is strong (TP-Link CPE-210), I mounted the gateway...

    Jim's AGP Journey

Thanks! He did a terrific job, and it is super stout. Smooth cranking and no sagging! Air temperatures are forecast to be in the mid-80°F range here by the end of this week, but my water temperature is only 59°F, so today I removed the cover, engaged the filter pump and solar heater, and...

    Jim's AGP Journey

Eagerly anticipating our third season, I just mounted the custom pool reel that I had a local welder assemble from three 6-ft x 3-in 16-Gauge Galvanized Steel Chain Link Fence Terminal Posts (found on CL for next to nothing) and a pair of Self-Aligning Pillow Block Bearings (cheap on Amazon). No...

    Jim's AGP Journey

The last swim of this second season was enjoyed thoroughly (83°F air and water) before the winter cover went on today with only cooler temperatures in the forecast. Looking forward to next season with a new solar cover reel (details to follow)!

Clay and Shale Ground for Pool "FRUSTRATED"!

Nicely done! I encountered similar issues (though more clay than shale) and filled the area with crusher run, stone dust, and foam board. Good luck!

I was unable to find those posts but it inspired an approach that worked for me. Thanks!

    Intex U support leg slanted

Also, the lumber should be oriented such that the wood grain is perpendicular to the support (the bar should cut across the grain rather than following the grain).

    Jim's AGP Journey

Thanks! I lifted the rail very slowly (using my thinnest tie-down straps in hopes that they would serve as the sacrificial weakest link) and only high enough to drive the new boards under the support with a rubber mallet. Considering this pool is just a big sack of water, the approach worked...

    Intex U support leg slanted

This is the most relevant of the few threads that my search terms revealed while researching ways to do similar for my Intex 32ft X 16ft X 52in Ultra XTR rectangular pool, so in case others are in the same predicament, I am following up with this link to what worked for me. Good luck!

    Jim's AGP Journey

The far corner (as seen in most of the photos I've posted) always has been about an inch lower than the rest of the pool, so today I added a second layer of deck boards to the adjacent supports. After reading posts from owners of round pools who successfully used a jack to lift the top rail...

    Jim's AGP Journey

Thanks! The deck certainly has enhanced our experience, and seeing the water rather than the side of the pool when drying off is particularly nice. Below are a few shots of the completed steps, safety gate, post lights (and motion light), offset umbrella (anchored to rails), and waterproof...
