What size barb fitting for 2" Layflat Hose

I tried it without the tape first and even two hose clamps. Tape was last resort to see if I could get it to seal with clamp on top of tape section too.

What size barb fitting for 2" Layflat Hose

It's snug on the barb, especially where I put the tape between barbs. I put the clamp over the tape and it's tight. I don't get why it wants to leak and it's pretty significant. Not rocket science, but I'm doing something wrong. All I can figure is there must be a barb designed for this hose...

What size barb fitting for 2" Layflat Hose

I put some tape on the barb fitting to see it it would help, but didn't. The tubing is snug and was had to push on but still leaks. I tried both style of clamps and even tried both at once. Lost the worm screw, but was on earlier. I hear what your saying about sizes and clamps. That's what's...

What size barb fitting for 2" Layflat Hose

I'm trying to redo the waste line off of my multi-valve. My tubing is pretty heavy PCV (I think) 2" layflat. I've tried several different barb fittings but they all leak. I even when to the tractor supply store that used to sell the layflat. They had a fitting that felt right and had two barbs...

Best Way to Remove Silt After Opening

Yes, I want to convert this to 115v. I've turned the dial to 115 but not sure if it matters what color wires go to L1 and L2 on my new wiring to motor from a/c plug. Also, is the ground the top connector labeled "E" I would assume so since it has GND stamped next to it. used motor didn't have a...

Best Way to Remove Silt After Opening

Motor wiring question. Going from 220 to 110 which color wires go to L1 and L2 and does the ground go to motor frame? I'll try to attach pics in a moment.

Best Way to Remove Silt After Opening

Darn, I didn't think about that current draw on 110v. It was only $50 so I thought I'd give it a try. I haven't seen any other pumps with lower HP. I'm planning on using threaded barb fittings that are snug on pool vacuum hose. Probably a 90 on exit. That will work, won't it? Thanks

    Halogen Light Replacement alternatives

Edit to add I see a lot of post about lights and folks trying to figure out what will work with their setup, so add me to the list. I have a pair of Pentair Spa Size lights that have both burned out. They didn't last very long at all and I'm looking for a reliable replacement, probably LED...

Best Way to Remove Silt After Opening

Does it matter if the pump is designed for above ground pool? Will they all self-prime and pull from the pool bottom or does it need to be for in-ground pool? I never heard back from the seller on the one above so I'm still shopping. On a good note, the pool is crystal clear and clean now. It...

Best Way to Remove Silt After Opening

I have a Polaris 280. I did find a finer mesh bag that I will try. I've been wanting to build a pump like that, just haven't found a cheap enough used pump to setup.

Best Way to Remove Silt After Opening

I have a mesh cover that lets fine material through during the winter. Water was very clear at opening but had a layer of fine silt all over the bottom. Pumping to waste is hard for me to do by myself because I have a hard time with the adapter plate staying on the skimmer. The bag on my...
