Thanks for the link. I have seen the post talking about drop in a pipe. Was more interested in the overall temperature drop of the pool itself. If my pool is 65 degrees and it is 20 degrees outside, how long will it take for my pool water to drop to 32 degres.

Am wondering how long it will take for the water temperature in a pool to drop from 65 degrees to 32 degrees if outside temperature is 20 degrees. Is there a math equation or table that would help with that?

Is it ok to use a Jandy heater in below 32 degrees if the water temp is 50-60 degrees? Same question if outside temperature is 20 degrees

Gotcha

With the suction at 50/50 and the returns at 50/50 do you get a nice waterfall effect with the spillway or does it just run down the rocks?

We have a raised spa that is plumbed with an air blower. U can see how it is plumbed in the attached. Even with the air blower off I still get som bubbles from the dirt return coming from the equipment. Wondering where the bubbles r coming from. Could the flow of water coming from the equipment...

My Jandy VSP FloPro (2 years old) started making an odd noise on startup. Sounds like you can actually hear fan blades starting to turn and once up to full speed can’t hear them as much. Any thoughts?

I have Jandy Aqualink to run spa mode and pool mode in freeze protection. When it switches between the two the pump goes off as the actuators move but when the pump comes back on it doesn’t go into “priming mode”. I thought it it would always go into “priming” mode when switching between pool...

TA is 90-100. About every week and a half have to put in a bag of baking soda as the TA gets down to 60 or 70. All the other readings look good calcium hardness is about 350, iron and copper both negligible chlorine generally runs three or so

Just from an education standpoint why have pump on for checking plumbing. Wouldn’t that be helpful for a pressure side leak but on a suction side plumbing leak couldn’t having the pump on mask the issue? Just trying to understand

A friend has a Jandy VSP and it makes a high pitched whining sound during freeze protection. Any reason it would sound differently during freeze protection. RPMs are the same.
