I have not added any CYA this year this far. there is no sign or feel of anything coming up below the plaster, but I will take a few more pics of the other spots.. maybe that will help with with the diagnosis.

Thanks for the info. Yes for the first 4 weeks I was brushing twice daily. Now I am only doing it once per day. Before I added the salt my readings were the following: FC=3.5 CC=0 TC=3.5 PH=7.2 TA=60 CH=430 CYA=50 Water Temp today is 70F Thoughts?

So I just added salt to my pool yesterday and this morning I noticed that the PH had spiked from 7.2 ish to close to 8.0. I added 3 cups (24 oz) of Acid to bring it down... But would this have been the result of adding the salt? My PH has remained very stable for the past couple weeks prior...

We built our pool with Hobert and I have nothing but great things to say about Hobert. The build from dig to water fill was exactly 3 weeks.

Looks great. I see you to got the smoke plaster? We are 2 weeks in after start up and I am STILL brushing. Darn plaster dust will just not finish. Keep us posted after startup how the brush down process goes.
