Re: How do you keep the cover on & run pump on AG Intex 10'x I did just that. I bought a float called the island from walmart. I believe it is 8 ft across. It gives me enough room to have pretty good water flow around the float. It has also made putting the cover on and off a little easier.

From What I have seen it does go in the basket and you place a rock a little bigger than your inlet so it does not get sucked down by accident. If I am wrong someone will come by shortly to correct me.

The magnet is in the light and there is a metal plate that goes on the outside of the pool. It seems pretty flat and non sharp. I plan on testing mine out tonight when it gets really dark to see how bright it is.
