At least on mine the start/stop button on the pump still works even when the IntelliConnect is connected and the screen is not active. As do the program buttons 1-4. If you disconnect the communication wire to regain control, does program 1 in the pump reflect what you have in the app?

What programs do you have set in the pump? What happens if you hit the start button on the pump itself? Also - looks like you're controlling two separate devices. What's the second device? Is it on a different # address?
