Hi, I have a Pentair Sta-Rite 1 3/4HP pump(P6RAA6F-216L) that just threw some bearings. 28k Vinyl liner pool with heater, cart filter, and Pilot SWG. No water features. Looking for recommendations on replacement (is VSP an option) and solid place to purchase from. I'm located on LI.

If you have fiberglass steps in your vinyl liner pool you likely want to maintain your CH. I have run into blistering on my fiberglass steps due to insufficient CH.

I can vouch for Volt as well. Use them exclusively. I believe they are brass though, not bronze. Cast lighting has bronze fixtures and they're considerably more expensive.

Just an FYI. Not all cartridge filters are supposed to have lube applied to that seal. The Pentair manual explicitly advises against it. I don;t have the manual for the Black Diamond 90 Cartridge Filter but I would advise checking the cleaning and reinstallation instructions before lubricating...

Re: Liner tracks/rails getting loose The "almost" should be qualified. If your vinyl liner pool has fiberglass steps and low unchecked CH level could problems with the fiberglass steps.

Ok, so I really appreciate you guys getting back on this. I'm going to try the chlorine puck and the vitamin C tab and see which might be successful with the stains. I'll report back with progress. As far as the blisters are concerned I guess I'm stuck with them - likely nothing structural yet...

I have found with my TA down around 70-80 my PH rise is minimal, been hovering around 7.6 since I opened this year. With a TA around 120 I was adding MA every few weeks to keep the PH in check.

Some pics would be helpful. If you're using outdoor rated direct burial cable there's no reason it needs to be in conduit other than for protection or through a chase. Omni speakers are inefficient, IMO you can do better. If you go with rock speakers you'll make the connection to the pigtail...
