    Ready for Pebble Tec!!

We looked at a similarly sized pool with a dark screen, it was also Tahoe Blue and was surrounded by tall trees on a bright afternoon with lots of sun. Their water was dark blue. I'll post pictures tomorrow when I can take them in the sunlight. We have had two days of clouds and rain in...

    Ready for Pebble Tec!!

Pebble-tec came out great. The water finished going in and the Tahoe Blue looks emerald green!! Clear, but EMERALD. Saw a similar pool before building with this color and it looked nice, hope the color changes after chemicals, etc.

    Channel Drain covered in shotcrete?

Thanks for the responses, drain was protected with a cover and seems to be a non-issue now. Glad to hear others with in floor cleaning systems don't necessarily have wall returns too. The pool seems to be coming along, albeit slowly. Here are some recent shots of the tile going in.

This is how the channel drain looks currently after being sprayed over with shotcrete. Also there are no returns only the in floor system.

    Channel Drain covered in shotcrete?

When the contractor's shot the pool they covered the channel drain with shotcrete. You can see the outline of the drain, but it is completely covered. Is this normal? Also if you have an in floor cleaning system(PV3), do you need wall returns as well? Pictures posted soon.

    Failed 1st County Inspection

Just talked to the inspector who has been supervising this project. He says the code is 35 psi for 15 minutes. Based on his observation, he passed our pool. Meanwhile the pressure last night at 8pm was 30 and this morning at 7am it had dropped to 25.5.

    Failed 1st County Inspection

After failing for the 2nd time, the PB came out early the next morning before the 3rd inspection and pumped the pressure back up to 40psi (it had fallen to 20 overnight from 46). The PB assures me that the loss of pressure is coming from the plugs in the channel drain and that I shouldn't be...

    Failed 1st County Inspection

Thanks for the replies, after two days the plumbing doesn't hold the required 35psi, even for 30 minutes. Not finding any water at the main drain or 90* bend. They are going to try new gauge, with another inspection due tomorrow morning.

    Failed 1st County Inspection

Hello everyone, new to the forum and this is my first post. Settled on a PB, a design, excavation completed, rebar and initial plumb complete. The county inspector came early this morning and flagged our pool as failing due to inadequate plumb pressure. A little concerned as this is our first...
