I had mustard algae growth and did a SLAM. I passed the OCLT this morning and have now raised the FC to the mustard algae level. My CYA is 30 so I have raised the FC to 18 for the next 24 hours. Question is, is it safe for the kids to swim today at a FC level of 18? Thank you!

How important is it to still tarp the pool now that I have the CYA in?

Last night's 9pm reading was FC 15.5 and this morning it was 14.5. Is this acceptable for passing OCLT even though it was a bit over 15?

I'm going to try the tarp today. Last nights final FC reading was 17.5 and this morning 14. I seemed to lose some water overnight so I topped it off. Hopefully this doesn't effect the process much. Thanks for the tarp tip!

I just backwashed the filter again. It was pretty gross. I took a look at the pump basket and saw some residual goo trapped in the pump so I'll be sure to clean that thoroughly today as well. I'll keep at it. Thank you!
