    IntelliFlo Communication Error

Hi Jim, sorry for my slow response - I've been going back and forth with Pentair support on this and they keep telling me "it's because of poor wifi". While I don't have brilliant wifi at that spot, my Unifi controller tells me it never looses connection. I simulated a connection...

    IntelliFlo Communication Error

Hi all, This morning, I realised that my IntelliFlo pump wasn't running. I checked the app for my IntelliConnect and saw the pump disabled. I enabled it and all good again. Then I checked my notifications in the app and I see multiple errors, at this time all inactive: Date Time...

IntelliFlo VSP - leak at bottom

I was hoping that this was the case as my pH goes up from 7.8 to 8.1 in a matter of about 3 days. My TA is at 70 (it was higher in the past but with frequent acid additions over time it dropped) I do have a solar water heater on the roof and when the valve to that opens up it does pump quite a...

IntelliFlo VSP - leak at bottom

Hi all - don't shout at me but I found the issue :) I always looked at the one side of the pump and, based on above suggestions I was going to take an all-round-video of the pump and then, once I was placed on the opposite side, I noticed the water leaking from the top screwed on pipe (the pump...

IntelliFlo VSP - leak at bottom

Hi all, Noticed yesterday that my Intelliflo VSP is leaking from the bottom of the main body - here's a video: I searched around and see most leaks are either to the left or right from where I see mine, so I guess it's a crack of some sort of that main body? If so, probably not something I...

Pool deck issue - concrete being pushed up

Sorry for my delayed response - had a crazy week... The handle is cemented in so can't be removed. The support pole is, afaik, only bolted to the floor, not in the concrete so don't think that's causing it. Re surgery - I guess I would need a pool builder to come over and look at my options...

Pool deck issue - concrete being pushed up

Hi all, Over the past few months, something is causing the concrete of my pool deck to be pushed up quite badly. This is happening on the side, right in between the posts of the handrail: Earliest picture I have, July 12th: Picture today, July 29th: It seems it may also be cracking one of...

    Quick comment on PoolMath update

Hi - liking the new look & feel of the app (I'm on iOS) however am wondering about the landscape mode. In previous version, when turning the phone, the app would adjust but now it stays in portrait mode. Was that intentional or am I missing some setting?

    How to suppress/disable an SLVS?

Side note: I wrote the above article while going through a SLAM, which ended on April 30th, after 17 days... On May 7th I had the pool guys come out to 1° replace the non-code main drain covers to code, 2° check why I was seeing air being sucked into the pump when my robot was disconnected and...

    How to suppress/disable an SLVS?

Hi @Newdude - I was thinking of going the inverse by pumping out some water which I guess would achieve the same? Otherwise I'll talk to the pool guys to see if they can do it - perhaps they have a way to blow it out... Good suggestion though!

    How to suppress/disable an SLVS?

Hi all, after (too) many SLAMs over the past 1.5 years I think I have established that the SLVS that's installed on my pool is the culprit... (previous post on the topic, just as background: Pipe in my yard - no idea what it's for) As I'm again going through a SLAM, I've looked again at this...

    Third time's the charm?

Hi @HermanTX - I finished my SLAM yesterday - <1 OCLT, 0 TC and water crystal clear (as it had been for a few days). I'm now letting my FC drift off and my 24h loss (yesterday 8am to today 8am) is about 3. Once my FC reaches normal levels (I'm still at 20.5), I'll keep my FC on the upper range...

    Third time's the charm?

I did clean the inside of the niche last time - there wasn't anything visible in there - felt nothing slimy nor see anything discolored that could look like algae. I keep fishing out the bugs - but they keep coming - my neighbors have the same issue :) I'm running my waterfall full-time for...

    Third time's the charm?

Hi Herman - thanks for your help here :-) I passed all 3 requirements - I'm very positive as I continued for another day after my FC dropped 1ppm in the OCLT and the next day I lost only 0.5 - that's when I ended During the SLAM, my pump was running 24/7 and my waterfall valve is open all the...

    Third time's the charm?

Hi all, after my 2 previous SLAMs over the past 2 months, I'm back at it... My pool was perfect with the SWG keeping the levels at the middle of the optimal range in the CYA/FC table (never dropped below 6.5 for a CYA of 80 - now at 70 after lots of rain). Then, last Saturday afternoon, I put...

Pentair Home down? UPDATE: reinstalled app, back to normal...

UPDATE - app kept giving issues but worked on my iPad - deleted & reinstalled and back in business :-) Anybody else facing issues with the Pentair Home app? I get a jolly "Oops something went wrong" for the past half an hour...

Back to square 1 after previous SLAM

I can program it as short or long as I want as I'm just flipping a relay that makes the valve actuator turn either way. It takes the valve, I would say, about 15 seconds to fully open. I guess I could set it to 5 minutes if I want to be on the safe side? That should flush the pipes / waterfall...

Back to square 1 after previous SLAM

Even better - I was worried about the aeration and it pushing my pH up too quickly so it's good to know 15 mins is sufficient - I'll adjust my automations to 15min morning and evening! Thank you!!!!

Back to square 1 after previous SLAM

Hi all - SLAM completed a week ago and in the meantime I worked on adding an actuator on the waterfall valve and integrated it with Home Assistant. Now the waterfall water gets cycled automatically 3 times a day for 1 hour each time. If anybody is interested in the Home Assistant integration -...
