Creative Minds Needed - Temp Fencing Off Pool in Winter

Thank you all so much! I found 100’ of pool safety fence from DIY Pool Safety Fence on my local BST group for $200. I am considering it. But I did message the manufacturer to get their thoughts on removing it yearly, since they are mainly used as a permanent setup for at least a few years (if...

Creative Minds Needed - Temp Fencing Off Pool in Winter

Awwwww a Bassett babbbbyyyyy. They are the best! Yeah, I think no matter what I need a real support system. Even if that means making t bases like you and adding in those blocks Ezri shared. I need to go at least 4.5’ high, as I have quite a few leapers. Ahhhh, gotta love the dogs! Lol

Creative Minds Needed - Temp Fencing Off Pool in Winter

Thanks! The plywood idea has been thrown around, but the physical moving and storing of it stinks. We use the stairs off the deck to get inside the house, so the permanent fence idea is out. And I use the bulk of that rear grassy yard for play. If I go perm, I’ll get one of the pool safety...

Creative Minds Needed - Temp Fencing Off Pool in Winter

Hi all! As some of you know, I own a dog daycare and boarding business in my home. The past two years, we’ve temporarily fenced off the pool once closed, as I don’t want 10-15 dogs on the mesh safety cover 😆And yes, they learn verrrrrry quickly how fun it is and how they can get water to rise...

New Pump Needed - Over Worrying Paralysis Commence!

That’s so true! Ugh. I’m just hoping it makes it tomorrow and Thursday to get through this wacky heat wave we’re having! Lol. Because the dogs pretty much live in it this week 🥵

New Pump Needed - Over Worrying Paralysis Commence!

Thank you both! I guess I’m not happy with it, since it’s only been 4 years since our pool was built, but maybe I’m not having realistic expectations on longevity.

New Pump Needed - Over Worrying Paralysis Commence!

Thank you! These are the ones I have from when we installed the heater. I’ll get some fresh ones in a bit! No automation. We have 230v.

New Pump Needed - Over Worrying Paralysis Commence!

Sooooo. After a summer of (what we thought was) a capacitor issue, the electrician thinks it might be a pump issue. The capacitor looks fine visibly (we’ve had one ‘blow’ before and it’s obvious). I’m beginning to search/research new pumps. We have a Hayward SS right now, and know I’ll be going...

    Solar Skimmers - DOG HAIR

I’ve browsed searched threads, but looking specifically for those who have used it with dog hair. Luckily, I don’t have a ton of other debris - I wouldn’t even consider one if I didn’t have the dogs.

    Solar Skimmers - DOG HAIR

Hi all! I’ve been reading searched posts for threads on solar skimmers…but I am specifically wondering if anyone uses them who have a lot of dog hair in their pool? I adore Fred, our Dolphin robot. But the dog hair on the surface of the pool is a problem for some family members. (Quick...

On today’s edition of why I don’t let my husband touch the pool…

Awww thanks! And actually, the PB made an error when order as I didn’t want a border. But we took a credit and kept the liner as is. And yes, TFP all the way!😍😍

Ben here and I have 2 pools in daily use by dogs.

I’m like 3 years late to this post, haha! But yes, I own a daycare and boarding business in my home and have dogs in the pool all the time. And yes, dogs wear the cruddddddd out of it (and the yard!) :ROFLMAO: I’m not sure if we’re allowed to share links, but would love to follow you!
