Hayward Aqua Plus control panel bit the dust - what to replace it with?

Just one equipment piece issue after another. Since it was first installed, the Check System Light on the control panel would come on indicating an issue (actually very frequent, at least weekly if not more often). Didn't matter if I addressed what it indicated was out of whack, light would...

Hayward Aqua Plus control panel bit the dust - what to replace it with?

Our pool and automation system is 5 seasons old; we are in Illinois. I have had repeated issues with the sense and dispense component as well as the control panel itself. I've lost count of the number of times the "Check System" light was on......Anyway, today it finally bit the dust. We are...

    Liner degradation/liner recommendation?

Hi, We have a 4-year old vinyl liner pool with an auto cover. Our liner has stretched to the point of embarrassment....still functions but looks bad. The corners especially look bad; we have right-angle corners and the vinyl sticks out; looks like a rounded corner. I had the liner rep out...

Anyone used spray-on liner for vinyl liner replacement?

Installs are all over - east & west coast, midwest....I was told that it's a relatively new application which is why I'm hesitant. The installer I would be using has done several however he only started doing them in the last year or so. From what I've seen, though, they look nice!

Anyone used spray-on liner for vinyl liner replacement?

There are texture options: fine or coarse grit, a hardener for additional strength which also smooths surface more.....my main concern is the permanence - once it's on, it's on - I can't imagine having to have it removed!

Anyone used spray-on liner for vinyl liner replacement?

Here's our issue and why we are looking into this product.....our liner is only 4 years old and has never fit "like a glove" which is what the mfr said it should fit like. It has stretched or was mis-measured so bad that it is embarrassing....our pool is 20 x 44 and the first step-down is a...

Anyone used spray-on liner for vinyl liner replacement?

We are starting the process of replacing the our vinyl liner. I have read about companies installing truck-bed-liner material as an option to a vinyl liner. Does anyone have experience with this? Pros or Cons?

    Handheld pool vacuum recommendations

I ordered the Blaster CG as well and have used it once. Overall I think it's pretty good - I got it to clean my my tanning ledge and didn't realize my ledge isn't deep enough to use it since it has to be fully submerged....Oh well, I still think it will come in handy for the corners in the deep...

    liner fit on tanning ledge???

Just wondering.... We have a vinyl liner pool and the first "step" is basically a tanning ledge 22' x 4' and about 4-5" deep. Then I have 3 more steps, also 22' across. The liner has never fit well on the ledge (and steps). I have wrinkles that I have pushed back to the wall that temporarily...

    Handheld pool vacuum recommendations

LOL - I agree! And, I think the pool is easier to keep that way - you should see the paw prints across my floors thanks to the spring rains! I was looking at the same model you've purchased - it looks like the new version is the iVac m3???? Did you look at that model as well? Thanks again!

    Handheld pool vacuum recommendations

Hi, I'm looking at a battery operated handheld vacuum to get the fine dirt particles that collect where the walls and floors meet in our pool. Can anyone recommend one over the other? I have not had much luck finding current reviews. They all seem about 4+ years old. Thanks.

    Help!! Green, crunchy hair

Ok, I had to step away for awhile.....I am still dealing with the copper, at this point we are just trying to get thru the summer and we will then do a series of parial fills and refills before closing for fall/winter. This poses a new set of questions: 1. Is this the time to do the...

    Low to ground chaise lounge???

Hi, has anyone come across any chaise lounge chairs that are lower to the ground? I have a tanning ledge that is about 5" deep and would like a chair that sits down in the water. It seems that most have a 6" clearance. Thanks.

    Help!! Green, crunchy hair

Hi, I still have low tc at 1. A previous post told me to add bleach to get the chlorine back to normal. The pool store said not to shock the pool or it will negate the pool magnet plus I just put in today. Am I right in that bleach=shock?

    Help!! Green, crunchy hair

Ok, water tested, Copper .2, Iron .1, CYA 59, pH 7.4, TC .4,FC 0, alkalinity 109, salt 3400........advised to put in 3.25 quarts of pool magnet plus. Which I did.... please no "shamey fingers".....I know - or at least I thought I understood, that this would temporarily contain the copper so my...

Hi Dave, OK, I've ordered my test kit but won't have it until the middle of next week. I have taken out the pool RX and added a chlorine remover........I need to get the sequesterant still; should be able to do that tomorrow. If we do drain 50% and refill a couple of times, from our city...

    Help!! Green, crunchy hair

OK, trying to keep my sense of humor here......unfortunately, I do not have a picture of my dog Finney in his lovely shade of green, nor will I post a picture of my daughter with her green tinted, crunchy hair as that would NOT go over well.....I did, however, update my avatar....this is Finney...

    Help!! Green, crunchy hair

Casey, We are thinking we may go this route. However, in order for us to leave 1 ft of water in our shallow end, we probably would end up leaving half of the pool filled since we have a diving pool. Would leaving this amount of water in the pool this defeat the purpose of replacing the water...
