dirt keeps getting in hot tub ...

What kind of lid do you have? My lid never lifts even with lots of wind. I forgot to lock it once when a storm was coming and even the next day the lid was still closed.

    OHH error bypass

Sorry, don't have a clue how you can bypass this problem. Have you tried shutting the tub off for an hour? Then put the power back on, perhaps that helps?

Water still good after 2 years, but should I drain/fill just based on time?

Indeed, you can see and feel the water sparkle after a refill! I think there is too much bad stuff in the water after using it for 3 - 4 months that the filter does not get rid off. I have a 1500 liter hottub and I use it quite a lot, all year round. I aim for 3 - 4 refills a year. I do not...

Drained hot tub - too late to properly clean it?

Yaiks... that's ... nasty! Have you tried cleaning the green muck out? I think that would be wise, otherwise it'll end up in your filter.

To fill up my spa every 3 weeks is that normal

Yes, depending on how often you use your tub you'll have to refill every few weeks. In hot summers I sometimes need to refill after a week. Kids in my tub do not help either to avoid this ;-)

Getting mild shock from hot tub

Also happy you had it checked and solved! That was not a minor issue! I would take the bill and go back to the first electrician and let him explain it to you... (and pay you back as he seriously messed up!)

New spa, COMPLETLY lost on water chemistry

I use chlorine as well. What kind of filter do you have? But I found out that I need to change the settings if the chem. is off. So I have a setting: F2 - Full Continue. If my water is off (due to men in long swimgear which has been washed with way too much soap) I need to set it to FC in...

Getting mild shock from hot tub

Thanks for writing it out and the translation! :D GFCI are the normal standard here. Don't know any house here that does not have it... I myself would call someone in to check the electricity. Not too fond of messing around myself, if there is a serious problem, there might be serious...

Getting mild shock from hot tub

Thats weired. We had some flooding a couple of years back. When we came home the tub was standing in 5 inch of water. (normally it is 20 inch above the level of the "canal" - small waterway) I shut it down and when the water was down again I switched the electricity back on... With a shaking...

    New Spa! Kinda...

euh,... not sure what you'll be shooting next week, but could you should the inside of the tub again? Thinking about the brown foam it would hardly seem appealing to jump in.... When I got my tub, the hoses were dirty too and being new to balancing water I decided to drain and start over... only...

Spa code of "Dr" and "Dry". How does one fix this issue? PLEAS HELP!!

Re: Spa code of "Dr" and "Dry". How does one fix this issue? PLEAS HELP!! Ow this is inconvenient, my instructions are in Dutch.... But I'll try to translate what it says. Dr: Possibly too little water, bad flow or airbubbles in the heating element. Spa will be shut down for 15 minutes. If...

    2014 Weather

It's weird. Here in the Netherlands we have the opposite problem. We had no winter at all, we went from autumn straight into spring.... But now the summer... It's hot. We are known for our instable summer weather. But now for the first time in weeks the temp dropped under 20 degrees C. at night...

    How to clean spa cover

I clean my cover (both sides) with plain water or water from the tub (with clorine and Aquafinesse). Just a soft sponge and clean it. My cover is 18 months old, so no long term maintenance expierence yet.

Brand New Spa newbie! Need help.

A little late (sorry) but indeed: the pipes will have been dirty. So, clean the tub, change the water and start over. Also, you may want to check your cartridge filter. If I let them get too dirty they don't filter the water properly. Just hose them down and let dry, while you place another...

average life span of a hot tub

Well, no hands-on experience here. We've got our spa for only half a year. I was told that it all depends on the quality of your tub. Anywhere from 4 to 20 years. The latter won't be in your case I'm affraid.... Perhaps the manufacturer can tell what their experience is? I must admit, I do not...

Returning after a lengthy absence - now handicapped...

Good for you that you made the lift work and be able to go into the pool alone. @AnnaK: As a swim-instructor I am well aware of the problems that can occur in a pool, or even a tub. But the same goes for driving on a highway. It all has to do with recognising the possible danger and think about...

    Aqua Finesse vs Chlorine

I agree. I've got my tub for 5 months now and I'm using Aquafinesse. The tub had been in store for 4 or 5 months and I never quessed that the pipes were dirty. First 2 months the water was bad after a month. Green and kind of thick, if you know what I mean. I bought the Aquafinesse spa clean...
