What kind of lid do you have? My lid never lifts even with lots of wind. I forgot to lock it once when a storm was coming and even the next day the lid was still closed.

Sorry, don't have a clue how you can bypass this problem. Have you tried shutting the tub off for an hour? Then put the power back on, perhaps that helps?

Yes, depending on how often you use your tub you'll have to refill every few weeks. In hot summers I sometimes need to refill after a week. Kids in my tub do not help either to avoid this ;-)

Thats weired. We had some flooding a couple of years back. When we came home the tub was standing in 5 inch of water. (normally it is 20 inch above the level of the "canal" - small waterway) I shut it down and when the water was down again I switched the electricity back on... With a shaking...

It's weird. Here in the Netherlands we have the opposite problem. We had no winter at all, we went from autumn straight into spring.... But now the summer... It's hot. We are known for our instable summer weather. But now for the first time in weeks the temp dropped under 20 degrees C. at night...

I clean my cover (both sides) with plain water or water from the tub (with clorine and Aquafinesse). Just a soft sponge and clean it. My cover is 18 months old, so no long term maintenance expierence yet.

A little late (sorry) but indeed: the pipes will have been dirty. So, clean the tub, change the water and start over. Also, you may want to check your cartridge filter. If I let them get too dirty they don't filter the water properly. Just hose them down and let dry, while you place another...

Well, no hands-on experience here. We've got our spa for only half a year. I was told that it all depends on the quality of your tub. Anywhere from 4 to 20 years. The latter won't be in your case I'm affraid.... Perhaps the manufacturer can tell what their experience is? I must admit, I do not...

OOOhhh I get really angry from reading your post. How hard is it to keep your hands of other people's stuff???!!!! I'd say thumbs up for cleaning, listening to inner-voice and buying a camera! Hope you'll never have to wake up like this again!

I agree. I've got my tub for 5 months now and I'm using Aquafinesse. The tub had been in store for 4 or 5 months and I never quessed that the pipes were dirty. First 2 months the water was bad after a month. Green and kind of thick, if you know what I mean. I bought the Aquafinesse spa clean...
