New Owner with Old Pool and Questions

I hate to resurrect an old post, but I realized that I did not provide an update on the pool. We figured out that the issue was one of the valves was set in the closed position, which greatly increased the pressure and decreased the return flow to the pool/spa. Easy turn of the valve and the...

Thank you Kim. We are happy with how it turned out as well. The pump is only about a year old and is an intelliflow variable speed pump. What I have tried: I have tried venting through the relief valve on the filter as the pump is priming. I can get the pressure up and air out, but the...

I think you are right and I at least have two to choose from. Thanks. Thanks Kim for the reply. I actually do not know if it will be a full chip out or not. That is a good question. I will have to check with them. In terms of the waterline tile, all tile will be removed. Planning to use a...

Funny enough, that is one suggestion the pool builder gave. He wants to take a closer look first and see before making any suggestions. If they system is completely busted, and the ones don't leak, that might be the best option.

Thanks Jim for the really great info. In terms of your suggestion for getting rid of the IFC, I will talk to my PB and see what he suggests. He thinks that keeping will be the least expensive option given how much tiles assume the pool would have to be removed and then put back in. Right now...

Thanks for the suggestion. I have read mixed suggestions on them, but am leaning towards getting rid of it particularly because of the number of trees around the pool. Occasionally, the winds will kick up and fill the pool with tons of debris. I know the system will have time with that.
