pool temp is now 71 after "IRENE". Is there any good solar blanket (that lay on top of water)? Or, solar fish or something like it? Hoping to increase pool temp to 75 or so. Temps have been in the lower 80's and sunny, just a little chilling in the mornings. Thanks, Frank

Thanks! That was our first idea also. Having the deck extend off the current deck and up to the pool and then a lower deck with the Tiki Bar sitting on it. But we 2 dogs and my wife wanted more yard (grass) for them to run.

AWESOME story. We have a Saint Bernard and a Mutt. He loves water, but the gate is always closed and locked. He weighs 200lbs. The mutt hates water, no worries there. Again, an AWESOME story..she sounds like an amazing dog (child) :)!!!

Flow is good but the pump is noisy, I guess from vacuuming

Should I shut off the pump first then hook up the hose to the skimmer or can I leave the pump running? I vacummed last week the filter gauge was going crazy back and forth from 0 to 10, is this normal.

My water level is 1 inch from top of the skimmer. With more rain coming this week, I want to lower the level a bit, so it doesn't overflow. Should I use the "backwash" setting or "waste" setting? Frank

Filling should be done this evening or tomorrow morning and the electric is being done on Saturday. It is still to cold, should I put some shock in the water and put a solar cover on or leave it uncovered til it is time to open? I would like to have the pool ready by early-mid May. Thank you...

Maybe I will do it this way, seems to be the safer way, then worrying about amps and such. This way I will have time for the electrical to be done and the township to do the inspection.

Been reading here alot. There is alot of helpful information. I have one question, I'm getting our pool installed (20 round sharkline oceanic) on April 18th (Monday) and the electrical is getting on the following Saturday, will this be ok? Thank you for any help. Frank
