Replacing the A-frames fixed this. Here's the thread with my fix if someone finds this thread first. http://www.troublefreepool.com/navigator-doesn-move-t57476.html?hilit=navigator

    Navigator doesn' move

Solved. Had the Navigator about 4 yrs. A couple years back it was repaired by our pool guys when it stopped working.....they told me they replaced some parts but didn't tell me exactly what. I'm pretty sure I know now. Replaced the A-frames and it runs perfectly now. My guess - this is the 2nd...

    Hayward Navigator goes and stops

New feet, new wings on my navigator, tried all three settings on the side and it still gets stuck....next step - replacing flaps.

    Navigator doesn' move

Similar - new shoes, new wings, everything moves fine, boatloads of suction and it sits in place on the bottom. Have adjusted the little 'spring cam' to I, II and III - no difference. I can actually hear all the mechanical pieces moving just fine when it's stuck in the shallow end. The flaps...

    Problem with Aqua-Rite

Hot appeared to indicate that the cell/system board thought the water temp was too hot and it therefore wasn't going to generate chlorine. Goldline support wasn't of much help to the tech who called them yesterday. Pool company had a working cell at their shop - came and installed it today...

    Aqua Rite Displays 'hot'

Well......pool company came. They spent an hour on the line with Goldline support and didn't get much from them. Pool company had a new cell in stock. They swapped cells to see if symptoms changed and it appears to be working perfectly. I now have a new cell which was replaced under warranty...

What kind of winter pool cover do you use?

Haven't had to drain off any water yet (only 2 winters) and in our case we would need about 12 inches of water from the snow before the coping would be an issue. I believe the strategy is exactly what you laid out.... on a warm winter day where there's water on top they come and drain it off...

wrinkles in 2 month old pool

'floats' the wrinkles out? (I assume that means he pumps water behind the liner?) Interesting idea......I assume that as you refill the pool the pressure from the water on top pushes the water under the liner away. Our soil is all clay and holds water around the entire pool so the pool company...

wrinkles in 2 month old pool

Any chance the wrinkle is because there's still water behind the liner? We had a wrinkle in the shallow end......had to lower water to just below slope to deep end, removed wrinkle with some elbow grease (it actually helped that we had water behind our liner at the time because the vinyl was...

What kind of winter pool cover do you use?

Winter in Canada = COLD and things freeze......pool company closes for me because if they open/close they also extend my warranty - cheap insurance. They lower water level below the returns, blow them out and plug them, remove the lights, drain pump, filter and heater, etc..... Cover is mesh...

    Problem with Aqua-Rite

Me too.... 'hot' with Check Cell, Flashing Generating light.....Superchlorinate may be actually generating but I don't know if this will get it back to normal function or if I've just found a band-aid around an actual problem with the unit. Any pointers would be appreciated!

    Aqua Rite Displays 'hot'

I also have 'hot' showing in the display of my AquaRite. I've downloaded every AquaRite manual that Google seems to be able to find and I'm not sure if the 'hot' indication in the display is a problem? Can someone point me to where I find out what this means? Came back from vacation - 'hot'...
