    Intellibrite 5G 120v in-light transformer testing

Thanks for the reply. I went with the Amerilite and an LED bulb. It's working well.

    Intellibrite 5G 120v in-light transformer testing

Hoping someone can help me confirm my light testing, which I think is indicating a bad transformer. My Pentair Intellibrite 5G stopped working after 7 years (from what I've been reading here the past couple of days, that's better than par). It's the 120v version that has the step down...

    Adding Fill Valve to Intellicenter

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably install a transformer so I can use a relay. I have some questions about that, but will pose them in the thread about that modification instead of here. Would you be concerned about the aux port being always on now?

    Adding Fill Valve to Intellicenter

It's an i10PS (see pics). Thanks for the tip. I test it as you say (see pic). I have a couple aux ports free, so tried it using Aux 9. Aux 9 shows 26 volts when I turn it on, but it also did not move the valve. Worse, Aux9 is now stuck on. It is powered with 26 volts even when I toggle it...

    Adding Fill Valve to Intellicenter

Aux 7 shows no voltage when turned on. "Turned on" means assinging a circuit to Aux 7 and toggling it on in the app. There is stray voltage of 400-500 mv, which does not vary with turning it on. I tested another aux connector -- aux 3 used for the pool lights -- and it shows 26v when turned on.

    Adding Fill Valve to Intellicenter

It's about a 10 foot run. That's a bit shorter than the run to the actuated valves and the pumps. Attached is a pic of the board. I don't think there's much to see here, but if you spot something, happy to hear about it. Note that the Aux 7 connector is not plugged in in this picture.

    Adding Fill Valve to Intellicenter

I don't know what the Aux 7 "relay" is. No relay in the power panel was being used. Other than that, all correct. It was installed by the pool builder in 2017 -- an established builder that has been in the business for decades. #1, I am reading no power when I "turn on" aux 7. That was why...

    Adding Fill Valve to Intellicenter

You're right Jim, it does appear this one is 24VAC (always thought the sprinkler valves were run from controllers ouputting DC). What aux relay are you referring to? I installed the upgrade, no they involved. The Easytouch connected to this same valve using connector J15/aux7. I marked the...

    Adding Fill Valve to Intellicenter

I've been studying for a month and can't manage a few basic things with my new Intellicenter (upgraded from Easytouch). First among them is my fill valve. The valve is a basic 24v sprinkler valve that was installed by the pool builder with the Easytouch. I thought I would simply connect the...

    Intellicenter Indoor Control Panel DoA?

Yes, it's an upgrade install. I've not checked current at the low voltage CBs. Across what should I check. What ground? Thanks. EDIT: The stripped wires coming from the breaker panel (orange striped and red striped) are probably what completes the circuit. I'll check using those.

    Intellicenter Indoor Control Panel DoA?

Disconnected everything. Still no power at red and black posts for either COM. Board has power, LEDs are on. As shown in this pic, I should see voltage here, right?

    Intellicenter Indoor Control Panel DoA?

Thanks Allen, I will follow that course -- disconnect everything and test, and warranty claim if not. I suppose the warranty claim is probably on the Intellicenter, not the ICP, given the lack of power. I am wondering about the source for power to the RS-485. There must be a transformer...

    Intellicenter Indoor Control Panel DoA?

The SWCG board, the ICP, and the filter pump control wires are connected to COM ports. I disconnected everything from the COM ports, still no voltage detected at red and black posts, for either Com A or Com B. There is also a spa-side remote connected to a different port with 6 wires.

    Intellicenter Indoor Control Panel DoA?

Yes I did. There's no detectable voltage between the black and red wires on either COMM port.

    Intellicenter Indoor Control Panel DoA?

Right, CB. No, they're not tripped: But you may be on to something. Perhaps I wired something incorrectly that is causing no low voltage power to the board?

Yes. Indoor control panel. No, I see no reference to it. There are options to add other items, such as spa-side remotes and wifi control panels As marked. Thanks.

    Intellicenter Indoor Control Panel DoA?

I connected the ICP to the system using 4 short lengths of wire. Did it using 2 different COMM ports. Same result: ICP display does not light up. Seems either I have more than one defective COMMport on my new Intellicenter (power leads only, since control circuits work for the chlorinator...
