The real story concerning solar heaters

Hi John, Thanks for answering my question. The panels will be placed on the ground. I have a very large yard with constant sun, no trees around at all. I assume i will have to buy longer hoses because the ones i am currently using are the ones that came with the pool when i purchased it

The real story concerning solar heaters

I have been spending the last few days researching solar heaters for my above-ground pool. Here are my specs: 12-foot round, 52" deep, 1.5 HP Hayward DE filter, approx. 4,000 gallons Have seen a few solar heaters which look promising but of course there are always negative reviews which...

Finally Pool Time in the NorthEast!!!!

Was surprised, my water temp in Northern NJ jumped from 68 early Saturday morning to 75 late Sunday afternoon and should jump a few degrees more today. Still gets down to the 60's at night so i'm hoping the water temperature holds.

    Heating pool water....Thoughts???

The main gas line coming into my house is not very far from the pool filter so i assume it would be pretty easy to tap it and direct a line to the heater but that is a project for the fall, not now. I do have another question- i have read reviews of these inflatable solar rings and while there...

    An alternative to pool opening

So I have read such conflicting info about how to properly open my pool for the summer season i am thinking it might be better just to drain it and refill it. Last year was my first summer with a steel wall above ground pool (12' round, 54" deep, approx. 4,000 gal) and have heard so many...

When is good time to open?

Hi All, I have a 12 foot round 4.5 deep above ground steel wall pool. Not sure when to open for the season. I live in Northern New jersey and I'm thinking mid-May with 2 weeks to get the water balanced and hopefully swimming by Memorial Day. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
