How much daily chlorine to add temporarily?

I have a 400 gallon hot tub. Everything is balanced and it's set up based on the pinned Bromine hot tub post. The bromine tabs (spa frog inline) are out and it's inaccessible until a new part comes in the mail (1-2 weeks). I'm just hoping someone can suggest an amount of chlorine (Swim Shock...

Master Temp 200 randomly says service needed

Hoping someone has seen this issue before. We have our pump doing 2 cycles/day. Our Master Temp 200 heater has always turned off and on fine along with the pump for a few years now. Within the last couple months it will randomly not automatically start with the pump and will have Service Heater...

    Tube leaking in Hot Tub

Does anyone recognize what the tube dripping water is? Not sure what quality the image will upload in, but my ring finger is directly pointed at the water coming out of a white tube that doesn't have a cover and hasn't dripped in the past. It does not seem to be affected by the jets being on or...

Why am I getting foam with air jets on?

I refilled about 6 weeks ago and have been using the bromine system. I recently added boric acid to appx 40ppm. I switched in brand new filters 2 weeks ago. My pH kept rising which is why I tried the boric acid, and it's actually been stable since. My pH is 7.6, bromine at 2-3ppm, 50...

Why does my local hot tub store say no bleach in acrylic hot tubs?

I am seeing all ranges of information googling and searching these forums, and couldn't find a clear and concise answer. My local hot tub store says I should never use bleach because it's bad for my acrylic hot tub. The only reason they can give me is that it's "bad for acrylic" which seems...

    Why is my Bromine zero?

So this is the first time I'm trying to use the 3-step method in my 390 gallon hot tub. I have the TF-100 test kit. Added brand new water, pH/TA was 7.5/220 which is normal; so I added Sodium Hydrogen Sulfate ~14oz and now my pH/TA is 6.8/110. I am still going to get my pH back to 7.5ish, but...

Adjustment Recommendations (high TA, low pH)

I am using the PoolMath app, but I can't tell what to do as the recommendations for TA and pH are opposite. For alkalinity, my test kit measured 150ppm, and using the formula (pH=7.3; CYA=80) I get carbonate alkalinity is 126.8. [Should I be using this as my reported alkalinity in the app?]...
