    Trustworthy source for liners

While trying to find a trustworthy store, I noticed that many of them boast about having a 70,000 sqft warehouse, and all use the same checkout system. I eventually figured out that most of these sites are just dropshipping via instantonlinepoolstore.com (also known as Under The Sun...

24" AGP - lost all water - damaged liner

Alright so it looks like I need to figure out what type of liner I need, and I'm good to go! What do you guys think?

24" AGP - lost all water - damaged liner

Alright, I took a few more, and have a few more questions before tackling this myself. According to the pool store, I would have to send a piece of the liner, which contains the hole, to the manufacturer (Aqua Leader), who would refund 50% of the MSRP if approved. If you ever dealt with liner...

24" AGP - lost all water - damaged liner

What about the pool liner 'lock', do I need to replace that? The pool store suggested this, and found this notice on the manufacturer's website of the liner: I currently have the Unibead liner, but not sure if I have 26 or 40 (guessing this refers to the mil value?).

24" AGP - lost all water - damaged liner

Thanks guys. I didn't think I could recover the liner, but I wanted to make sure I didn't miss some obvious fix. Can the liner be repurposed for any other project-around-the-house, or should I just trash it? It does look like the damage happened at the seem (will confirm later), and I did...

24" AGP - lost all water - damaged liner

So it has stopped snowing and I finally get to check out my 24' AGP. As usual, most of the water is gone, but this time, it's completely gone, and the liner got torn in 1 spot (probably caused by ice). It's a straight line, so I'm wondering if there is any product I can use which would weld...

Just got my solar panels - need plumbing help!

Do you have any pics of your rack? I still need to come up with a design, haven't found anything yet which looks great, yet simple (have 4 2'x20' panels myself).

    Need help with deck design

I'm just using SketchUp to design this, very easy to learn! I just finished updating my plan, I was actually working on those 'cripple joists' figuring that's what you meant, but I'm not sure how to attach them, since here isn't much room that close to the pool (angled joist hangers is all I...

    Need help with deck design

Great looking deck! The problem with digging more holes is that I have to mix more concrete, and I am dealing with a bad back injury already, so add that with a limited budget, I don't think I can adapt the design for the deck boards to run perpendicular.

    Need help with deck design

I wanted to run the decking perpendicular, but this would mean digging more 4' holes.

    Need help with deck design

Hey guys, Finally getting my deck project going, and while designing it in SketchUp, I realized that I am running into trouble with the rim joist closest to the pool. I can't find any good examples of how other people deal with this, and I'm not getting many answers when posting on other...

    Ladder attachment issues

This looks like the Integrity ladder (I have one myself), and it does look like the platform is missing (no matter if you have the deck-to-pool model or not). Unless this is some sort of knockoff, but the design details are identical: http://www.liverpoolpoolandspa.com/ag-a ... %20LADDERS

DIY Solar Build Thread with Pics

Just as a quick follow up, that flexible hose I got from Lowes didn't last long and sprung leaks at the end of the season last year. Since I have to redo my setup anyways (they are on the ground now, want to put them on a stand), I'll try to come up with a better solution, but I recommend you...

    Solar Panel Install Question

Did you ever finish building this stand? Would love to see some pics, as I still have to build a stand for 4 2'x20' panels myself.

Cartridge filter generating loud vibrating noise.

I screw it all the way down until the handle latches click (and it pretty much stops moving after that). I guess I could try a lubricant for pool valve gaskets to make sure it seats properly.

Cartridge filter generating loud vibrating noise.

The filter is a Hayward XStream Filtration Series, model # CC150CAN. I also took some pictures of the filter components, so you can see how basic this unit is: https://www.dropbox.com/gallery/231214/ ... r?h=ab584d I just opened it up, flipped the filter around, and now it's fine again for a...

Cartridge filter generating loud vibrating noise.

I have taken it out many times (for cleaning reasons), haven't found anything wrong. Not sure how I could reinstall it incorrectly, but it has to be something like that, since there isn't much to this filter, and I am out of ideas.

Cartridge filter generating loud vibrating noise.

Yep, I verified no air was in the system (and the water is at about the same pace as it was before the noise started), I used the bleeder valve on top to make sure air was gone. Do you think it would make this kind of noise if one of the cartridge 'fins' was damaged/ripped? It really sounds...

Cartridge filter generating loud vibrating noise.

My 2 year old pump (3rd pool season) has been acting up lately, including generating some real loud vibrating noises which force me to shut the pump down. It looks like it is still moving water around, but the pressure gauge is twitching rapidly, so I am guessing there is a major issue. This...

Those are some really nice decks! I did try Lowes, but their software couldn't handle the curve.

Looking for pictures of deck construction & tips

I started with that site (was originally going to use those blocks), but since those plans are designed for above ground blocks, it changes everything.

That's a great start, it shows how you finished the surface (which was very helpful), do you happen to have a photo of construction process? Thanks for taking the time to share!

Looking for pictures of deck construction & tips

Thanks. It really should be a simple project, but there is so little info on building pool decks (round AGP's that is). I figured with all the talent here, I should be able to get some useful info :)

Looking for pictures of deck construction & tips

Hey guys, So I want to build a 2nd stand alone deck to connect my pool to my main deck. I purchased a good book which shows the latest building techniques, but I am having trouble figuring out how to finish the header/outside joists closest to the pool side (since there is no room to finish...

Would like your opinion about this solar panel setup.

Do you happen to have a picture of your probe location? I am having trouble trying to picture how to permanently affix the sensor to the panel.

Would like your opinion about this solar panel setup.

So basically as long as the panel temperatures are higher than ambient temps, redirect the water via the valves? Originally I was going to use the temp of the water exiting the panels, but someone else just explained to me that measuring the panels is the correct way. I guess I need to find...

Would like your opinion about this solar panel setup.

The plan is to take readings before the cold water enters the panels, and after. Is there a better location for these?

Would like your opinion about this solar panel setup.

Last year I purchased 2 2'x20' panels for my 24' AGP. The results were noticable, but not where I want them to be, so I purchased 2 more panels this year. I also decided to replace the very difficult to use Home Depot valves, and go with Jandy valves, since I do plan on automating them soon...

Looking for the Goldline 10K thermistor datasheet ...

That's the info I found as well, but doesn't include those parameters. I am basically trying to read these probes with my Arduino. I do have a working sketch, and it seems to be accurate, but wanted to verify these numbers.
