So if my target is 8 will this damage pool equipment quicker or is it not really 8 due to my higher CYA level? Maybe its a pool store myth but I recall them telling me that higher FC levels will damage or wear down your equipment quicker.

Re: FC level when doing OCLT I am new here and wondering what could be causing such a drastic drop overnight if ur cc is less than 1? I thought the cc level was the byproduct of the fc working to sanitize ur pool thus fighting something...if that's the case then it seems ur cc would be higher...

Looks like its the 2005 since it only goes up to 10ppm. Is there an add on I can get or do I need to spend another $70 on a test kit. I just bought this one from leslies last week before I started reading this site.
