New steps $1400 New liner $900 Travertine (600 sf) $2400 Misc- concrete, mortar, hardware, equipment $2000 I would estimate around $7000. I was initially quoted $3500 just to replace the liner. I estimate that the concrete demo and travertine install would've been close to $10,000 if I had a...

Thanks! This is in a complete screened enclosure attached to the house. Doing polymeric sand between the joints this weekend and staining the remaining concrete. Also adding some landscaping and we should be done! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Many of the walls were damaged and had to be repaired with sheet metal or fiberglass. Checked on a new polymer wall kit (walls only) from Royal Pools and it was $4500. Repairing was much cheaper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks to family and friends who showed up the next day to dig out and reconstruct the pool walls. Luckily I have a family member with access to a large commercial pump. Well points were driven around the pool to divert the water away from our project. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DIY from ****!!! Dropped the pool level to work replacing the pool steps. Ran to Lowes and came home to this. Walls on three sides caving in. Apparently I picked the wettest month of the year to tackle a pool renovation. High water tables and vinyl pools do not go together. Sent from...

    Jandy Nicheless LED lights

Thanks for the replies everyone! Lykly my understanding is they hook to a 12v transformer and can be activated by a simple switch or even something like iaqualink system. The no need for bonding/grounding was a sell for me. I didn't want to fool with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Jandy Nicheless LED lights

Thanks for the pic. That kind of gives me an idea on placement to get the maximum coverage with what I've purchased. I wasn't looking for the flood light effect. If it will just offer some type of ambient light to give the water a glow at night I'll be satisfied Sent from my iPhone using...

    Jandy Nicheless LED lights

Was curious about placement and how much light the various models/watts give off. I planning to do a 20w at the steps and a 30w in the shallow and a 30w in the deep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

1978 18x36 vinyl liner complete renovation

Started cutting off the old bullnose coping today. Reciprocating saw seemed to work better than the circular saw. The new aluminum liner rail fits perfect and will be the same 42" height as the last rail. I used self talking screws to hold the liner into place so I don't have to drain the pool...

Travertine came in today so I had to play with the pattern a bit to get an idea of what it's going to look like . I purchased a commercial grade travertine from Travertine Mart. It has a lot more holes and character than a premium grade but it's about a third of the cost. Sent from my...

This is going to be a DIY project. I have a construction background and have access to the needed tools. Still debating on doing the actual liner replacement myself or hiring someone. I have replaced the filter and pump recently (Hayward) so they are good to go! Basically the only issues are...
