    I just tested our pool with my newly arrived TFT kit and got a TA reading of 210, when I test with my Taylor K-2006 kit (1.5 years old) I get a TA of <75. Would old chemicals not give me a falsely high result instead of a low one? I do notice that the drop sizes from the TFT kit R-0009 do look...

    Just fired pool company now I'm trying to fix several problems.

    Thanks for the suggestions, I decided to tell everyone the pool is closed for the rest of the week and I am presently dumping 60% of the water to take the CYA down to approx 60. I will see if the pool store does testing but I doubt it. I'm not in the US and have not seen metal test for sale...

    Thanks for the info, I am using a Taylor k2600 test kit. My water comes from the city supply but it is possible that they source from local wells as this is common in the area.
