    Algae and vacation

So we have had a ton of rain, I've been busy prepping for vacation and haven't paid as close of attention to the pool as I should be. Last night I raised the chlorine level as we have had a ton of rain. I go out this morning to test my water one last time before vacation and notice a ton of...

I just don't know what to do!

Well I found it inside the ladder. I taped the bottom hole and have it filled with bleach water and the top rungs soaking in a bleach water. Any suggestions as to how long I need to leave them soaking.

    Dead Algae Always There

I'm having the same issue. Just realized 2 minutes ago, my ladder has holes drilled in it so the water will keep in weighted.... check anything and everything that is in your pool... lights ladders inside, outside and underneath. It is dead algae just gotta find where it's coming from.

I just don't know what to do!

I bet it is coming from the ladder, inside the ladder. I just had my kid give it a once over, there are holes drilled in the bottom so the water will weigh it down and I'm thinking, I'm gonna take it out tonight. I'm willing to bet that is where my problem is.

I just don't know what to do!

So my plan is -clean all swimwear and soak toys -remove ladder inspect, scrub, and clean area underneath -clean sand filter and add de - skimmer sock (can I use panty hose?) -clean solar cover more thoroughly -after I pass overnight test bump FC up to mustard level just in case.

I just don't know what to do!

I tried to clean the cover as best I could the first cover the first go round. Hate to admit that I sprinkled some bleach around then hosed it off. (Not very thorough) I am gonna add the de hopefully this week. And I will look for a skimmer sock while I'm at it. The cover comes off at least 5...

I just don't know what to do!

Yes, I vacuum twice a week. This dust won't suck up. It only disappears when I brush, into a little cloud.

I just don't know what to do!

I have been brushing, usually twice a day. I feel no slim or slickness.... just dust. I think there was more today than any other day.

I just don't know what to do!

Last year was my first year of pool ownership. Lucky I found this site before I found the pool store. Last year I closed my pool unsure if I was in the middle of a problem or not. Opened this year and immediately drained my pool 3/4 because my cya was off the charts. Balance everything, and...

    Beautiful yellow walls....ugh

I have yet to get in and pinch the dust. I will do that in the morning. The dust isn't on the walls only on the floor. It gathers in the center of the pool and directly across from the water jet blower. I have been keeping at shock level but am struggling with the cya test. I just re-ran it...

    Beautiful yellow walls....ugh

So I just purchased my first home and it came with a pool. 1 month before we moved in I went over and got all the proper gating and safety lines put in place. At that time I noticed sand in the bottom of the pool and what appeared to be staining on the walls. One month later we moved in. I...
