    Filter Pump Breaker Tripped

Alarm emails in the middle of the night saying “no flow”. I eventually determined the next morning that the breaker for that pump had tripped. Should I blow this off unless it happens again or is further research needed?

    Blocked Bubbler

I have two bubblers on a tanning ledge. They’re plumbed to the same pump as my returns. One is not flowing water. I believe everything was normal yesterday. Covering the one that’s running with my hand does not produce flow at the other. What’s my best bet to clear it? I do have a pressure...

Hayward OmniLogic Doesn't Match Test Results

My test shows 2800ppm and instant reading shows 3443. Is it reasonable that my OmniLogic should display an accurate salt reading? 23% difference seems pretty significant.

    How time-sensitive is out-of-range pH?

How long would a pH of 6.8 take to cause damage to plaster, plumbing and/or equipment? Do I need to run to Walmart tonight for soda ash, or is this something that could wait until tomorrow or this weekend? How about 6.5? I know there's an ideal range, but I haven't seen a chart or anything...

    Pump leaking water at pad

Hopefully today is the final day below freezing here. My pool water is currently 30 degrees and was 32-34 all day yesterday. Pumps have been in Freeze Protection with water flowing the entire time. One of my pumps, the one that controls the sheer descents in my raised beam, is leaking water...

New Pool - First time testing/balancing on my own

My pool was filled for the first time at the start of August and the builder did maintenance for the first two months. I never intended for them to handle maintenance long term, but it was still pretty underwhelming. Salt was added sporadically and maintenance didn't seem to be on the same...

Advice on swcg for new pool

1 week into construction of a ~26K gallon gunite pool and need to make a decision on my salt water system. PB works with Hayward and intends to install a Aquarite 940 salt cell (this one, I think.) I know there is a sale on Circupool SWGs and wonder if I should buy this one instead. I see...

    Decking material question

Shopping two bids for a new pool. The design is basically the same. Both include 5cm coping, but the decking is 3cm travertine on one and something thinner (<2cm?) limestone on the other. 1. Is a 3cm paver important? Unlike coping, you really don't see the edge. I assume proper ground prep...

New pool - Equipment comparison help between 2 leading bids

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a new build and have narrowed in on 2 builders, both of which have recently built pools in my neighborhood. I would love some feedback on the equipment proposed. I don't know if this stuff is "good" or if one option is in another league from the...
