We have a well. Very high pH. The test kit and tests done at pool store always read 8.2. It is higher than that because I add a gallon of acid and it's still the same. 1 add another gallon and it may lower some. Yes I'm doing it right, had a pool for 20+ years, but this is only my 2nd summer...
