So into 4th year of above ground pool, 1/2 below ground. Put on new standard pool hoses but they expand a lot when pump starts and was getting air in system when pump stopped. Not enough that pump couldn't prime but still. Decided to replace with flexible PVC and barb fittings with clamps...
