That looks like it's made out of cement or big blocks of cement ? Anyway to smooth it out prior to applying any coating. Seems like a ton of little nooks and crannies where algee could build up if not maintain properly. You'd have to be right on top of chemical maintaince. Good luck :D

Those are your numbers after uncovering your pool for the 1st time since you closed it ?? The TA might be a bit high, but I'm impressed at the numbers for some reason :D

Here's some pics, pool store said no o ring or gasket needed. I don't usually take their advice at heart. So other then Teflon tape, pipe dope would seal it better and won't lock it in, right ? It does seem to be a very flat area, no curves where the plug goes. Thanks Sent -3 or -7

I saw no o ring when I replaced the old one a few months ago. The new one came with out one. What could be my options, the new plug was by its self and the one I replaced had always used tape. Is there some other kind of seal I could use ? Or should I use more tape for a better seal. It's not...

The guy next door had 2 kinda small plumbers wrench tools and we each took one side of the handle and turned very slowly and it came off perfectly, it's all about torque, not brut force or a hammer :cool:
