Advice needed on my new pool

We did ours with Chiseled Travertine that matches the coping, but it is too new to say how it will age. I will be interested to hear what the pros have to say on the subject.

Advice needed on my new pool

You are almost building my pool's twin! We have almost the exact same design as this, but flipped. Our profile is the same as the one you posted with the 6' deep end and it is not bad at all. The profile you shared has the larger shallow area before it drops off to the deep end, that is exactly...

UT New Build - Update (start up 5/21)

I do. we had no idea the pool would ever be added when the outdoor kitchen was built so we built the grill lookin out over the backyard. Now that the pool is there I added a 65" TV on the back of the wall for watching football and movies nights and it looks like we did it on purpose.

New Fiberglass install in Clarksville TN (Dig started Nov 16, 2020)

I have to admit, I am so jealous of how fast these Fiberglass pools go together! We have been working on ours for months and still have more to do!

New Product: Hayward OmniPL HLBPLUS4W and HLBPRO4SW

Ours was the same thing, the builder had to get a different electrician that knew how to wire the three wire setup for the heater. Our builder said there was no way to get a longer cord for the wall mount and had to order a separate wall mount controller that could be mounted farther from the...

    Liquid Chlorine cost?

I have been paying $9 for 3 gallons at Home Depot while doing startup on our pool. We are switching over to SWCG now and will go back to Liquid Chlorine when it gets too cold. Are you not able to use SWCG up there? Do you keep the pool open in the winter ad heat it?

    Pool dig started Manteca, CA

Looking good! I am envious of a yard that doesn't need to be mowed! If it weren't for our dogs I would have artificial grass installed, lol. Keep us posted on your build, and post the equipment list for the members who know about that stuff!

Raised Bond Beam / Wall Height

A big part of the equation will be what you plan to do behind the wall also. We went with a 12" wall only because we had to have the space behind the pool for our easements and yard space for the dogs. With having the grass that close I wanted the wall to help keep the pool clean. We will not...

New Fiberglass install in Clarksville TN (Dig started Nov 16, 2020)

Looks good! Our pool isn't really up against the house, we built on an outdoor kitchen that took up half of the yard before we ever even considered a pool. Our plan was to move to something on the lake and we ended up staying here instead. We love the house and the neighborhood, so when we saw...

New Fiberglass install in Clarksville TN (Dig started Nov 16, 2020)

Are you building a retaining wall up the hill from the pool or just adding the grading?

New Fiberglass install in Clarksville TN (Dig started Nov 16, 2020)

She suggested the same thing for us ad we have been running it for the past week. So far it seems like it will be a great fit for us, it collects all of the leaves that make it into the pool, and does a good job with sand and finer debris that gets tracked in by the dogs throughout the day. It...

    Seat pads?

We are just finishing our new pool/spa build and finally getting to enjoy it some! With the weather being cooler we have mainly only been heating the spa and having movie nights and football on the weekends. Our pool is Wet Edge Luna quartz, and it is a little abrasive. It doesn't really bother...

    Contract signed, looking for feedback.

I think personally I would have issue with the slide in general because of the amount of space they seem to take up. We don't have any kids at home and hope that we are a long way from being grandparents so we never even considered one, but I am surprised that they take up that much space

    Pool dig started Manteca, CA

The drawing really doesn't help with where drains should be placed. What is important is elevation. In my situation I have a covered outdoor kitchen between the house and pool and there are deck drains added between the pool and kitchen to keep water out of the covered area, then behind the...

New Build (Finally!)- Houston, TX - Starting this week! (hopefully)

I think it is all personal choice and how you plan to use your pool. Our spa is a 7' diameter round spa ad it seems large for us. I like you overall design, but why not have the firepit closer to the patio area? We are also in the Houston area and use our outdoor kitchen and firepit all year, I...

My "New" Pool in SCHERTZ, TX

I wouldn't expect them to charge you any extra to put them in. My plaster crew did the edge tiles on our steps and benches when they did the plaster and all they do is lay down a layer of plaster and then plaster right over them. when they do the final cleanup they wipe them off.

    Sealing the Concrete?

Is there a product you recommend ? Would I just pressure wash the deck and apply the sealer with a pump sprayer after it drys?

    Pool dig started Manteca, CA

I have a pipe that comes from the pump output before the filter ad ties into my deck drains that go all the way to the street. The plumbers had no idea what I was talking about when I told them I needed the drain pipe installed, they call it a backwash pipe even though I can't actually backwash...

    Thoughts on pool design/layout/features

I don't know that the basket o my Warrior Se is as large as a Polaris cleaner, but it does have a very large capacity. I also really like that I can use the really fine filter cartridges in the robot because our dogs drag alot of sand into the pool. I never owned a Polaris, so it may be just as...
