Crack formed at bottom of pool, losing water

I just noticed last week that my water is going down by about 1" per day. Perhaps a bit less. Today, I noticed a new hairline crack at the very bottom of the deep end. About 3-4 feet long and irregular shaped. Occurred after some of the biggest rains we have had here in SF bay area in years...

Success! I was able to modify the non-return flap in my Active 20 to allow leaves to enter without clogging, yet still reduce backflow of debris out of the robot when removing from water. The non-return flap at the bottom has 2 metal bars in it. They ensure that when the robot stops, the flap...

Right now, I run my robot without the non-return flap installed and it picks up leaves GREAT. Even when the floor is covered with leaves, the robot picks them up. I just have to stop it after 30 minutes as the basket will already be full, then run it again. Only downside is that when I pull...

I too am having an issue with my Active 20 very quickly clogging with leaves. The non-return flap seems rather poorly designed in that it gets clogged with only a few leaves and stops the flow of water into the basket. I have resorted to removing the flap for leaves, then putting it back on...

jj, I strongly recommend you get a robot such as the S200. I did and would never go back to anything else. I do leave mine in 24x7x365 and will just live with the need for maintenance on the robot as needed. I also have mine connected to my pool computer so that I can turn it on and off...

I predict you will be very happy with the new robot. And amazed how much fine particles it will pick up when using the fine pleated filters.

@Mindflux, I too was a devout pressure side cleaner person. Had my last Polar 380 for 14 years, and it was in the pool 24/365. Only took it out to clean it out and for the occasional repair. Replaced the bag every other year, replaced the 2 belts every 4 years, and replaced the tail once. So...

As @MannyT points out, the Active 20 only has schedules, nothing else. Though it can be set up in automation mode where anytime power is provided to it, it turns on, cleans, then turns off. But that is it. No quick mode and no bluetooth control. As for the cord, I have the exact same...

For mine, it came with 2 sets of filters that pop in and out of the main basket assembly. - a fine mesh filter for initial cleaning - a SUPER fine pleated filter for normal use after the pool is pretty clean. I was really surprised how much the pleated filters got out even after using the...

How to Remove Pool Light-Screw Stripped

I have a similar problem that I have been trying to solve for 2 years. My light went out, but I have been unable to remove the screw holding it in. The screw is a hex screw on the top, which should work in my favor. However, it was so stuck that it broke 2 of my hex wrenches before finally...

I noticed something really neat over the past few weeks of using my Active 20. The cleaner always seems to return to where it started, which is really nice. I have just one open area of my solar pool cover where I put the cleaner in and this is also the only convenient place to pull it out...

Sorry, but I did not mean I was unhappy with my Active 20. I LOVE it!!! I meant to say that anyone who is considering buying a swivel cord to replace a non-swivel cord should save their money. The swivel is not that much better than regular. But the Active 20 is TOTALLY worth the money I...

Well, after using my Active 20 for a week, all I can say is save your money (on the cord). The swivel is so hard to turn that it does not really help at all in avoiding tangles. I have to manually untangle it every other time it cleans.

Good points. As you mention, I was considering using one of the pool computer relays to turn on the cleaner, but was too lazy to take the panel off and wire it up. But you are spot on with the idea. Do you know if the 300i Ultra Clean and Quick Clean are just timing issues, or does the...

The feature is apparently built in to all S200/300/300i variants since 2017. But to clarify, all this feature does is allow the cleaner to start a cleaning cycle anytime the power is applied to it's plug. Normally, when you plug it in, you still have to press the start button. But with...

Yes, I too can confirm my S200 has no issues with my floating solar pool cover. It does not clean the waterline as well, but it does not get stuck or create any other real issues. I am VERY happy with the S200 so far. It cleans my pool well, even with a solar cover, and now is hooked up to my...

Well, it also works on my S200 / Active 20. Just press the button below the 1/2/3 weekly schedule (while the unit is plugged in but turned off) for 10 seconds and it will flash several times indicating it is now in automation mode. Sure enough, now when I activate the plug using my home...

I just purchased a cleaner late last week from them. Yes, first time I called no answer, but I left a message. I called back an hour later and did get hold of Margaret and she took the order. Then about an hour later, the first call I made was returned. I just told them thanks, but I already...
