Anyone Had Corrosion Issues With Salt?

I have a SWG on an aluminum pool. My pool is a little different and does not have a track. In one year of usage, no issues. I contacted the manufacture and they said salt will not void the warranty. He also said, they found liners lasting longer with salt systems. Of course the pool store...

Micro Mesh cover not draining (with pics)

I have a mesh cover, and the directions say it should sit on top of the water. Some of the water from the pool will seep to the top of the cover, and that is ok. That is what keeps it on the water when it is windy.

My Build: 24' x 52" Radiant Pool Build Diary w/ Photos

Thanks! Lots of DIY work involved there. I am pretty proud of it. Post some pictures, there are only handful of radiant installs documented on here. It could help someone in the future. Your signature says about the wall insulation. Seems 'scammy' but I think it does work, albeit maybe only...

Recommended websites to purchase DIY pool kit

I have a radiant metric. It's salt compatible. The condenses around where I live is the pool companies don't want to sell salt systems because you are not there buying chemicals each week. So they always talk them down. Any resin pool would be fine with a salt cell.

    Circupool SI45+ cleaning stand

I just use duct tape and an old plaster bucket. After the cleaning I just dump the acid in the pool. Btw, I usually add a couple cups every 10 days anyways. So nothing gets wasted

    TF-100 Test kit storage question

I leave mine In the shed all summer and it seems fine. I did make the mistake of letting it in there during the winter and I got some wacky results in the spring. So I bought a refill and all was good again.

My Build: 24' x 52" Radiant Pool Build Diary w/ Photos

I called them to verify since the warranty did not say anything about a SWG. They told me a SWCG will NOT void the warranty, and that they have seen longer liner life with a SWG. If you have any questions, you can PM me to keep it off the board. But you can also call Radiant. They are super...

My Build: 24' x 52" Radiant Pool Build Diary w/ Photos

Ford on each side. The only way to do it! I know. I am so happy summer finally came. I have probably dumped out 5+ inches of water in the last 6 weeks, at least my sand is clean!! Our water was 91 yesterday, we get a full 10 hours of sun directly on it. I might leave the cover off the next few...

My Build: 24' x 52" Radiant Pool Build Diary w/ Photos

That's funny, But might as well get what they are going to play with. Yea we have a good idea of what they play with now. They always go for the squirt cannon things. I hate them because they can squirt me while I sit on the patio trying to enjoy a cold one. Making the one side of the deck...

My Build: 24' x 52" Radiant Pool Build Diary w/ Photos

Kim - You have no idea how hard it is to go somewhere that sells pool toys with a 4 year old... or maybe you do. We got a bunch of pool toys last year at Wal Mart not knowing what they would like. We kind of went overboard since they were all clearance'd. Some of them we didn't even open. The...

My Build: 24' x 52" Radiant Pool Build Diary w/ Photos

I am finally calling the project complete. I did a few things this year. I moved the equipment, stained the deck, added some new stairs to the other side of the deck. I also did some landscaping around the pool as well. Thanks everything for the great suggestions, and thoughts. Here are some...

Deck is finished and the pool has been great for 2 years..

Thanks. For the info. I'll have to figure something out later in the fall. I was just telling my wife about the glow stick thing. She is all about it, the kids will have a blast.

Any words of encouragement before I return this Circupool?

I agree. I got mine and the control unit had a dent in it where the power wire goes into the grommet. I emailed them pictures, and they refunded me 50 bucks. I obviously tested the unit before I accepted the 'scratch and dent' deal. I too, have the SI30, and about 14k of water. I run mine at...

Deck is finished and the pool has been great for 2 years..

Awesome thread. I really should update my build threat with completed pictures. Maybe I will later today. I love glow stick party idea. I was thinking of doing a party in August with a movie in the yard, but maybe somehow I incorporate the glow sticks for the pool party prior to the move. I...

i use it for quick testing, as long as its slightly darker than the 5ppm yellow. For exact results, i use the FAS/DPD.

    New to SWG

I bought the SI-30. I have a 14k pool, and I leave it on 38%. Small tweaks every few days keeps me within spec, depending on sun exposure. I admittedly don't check it daily, maybe every other day, or every third day with PH. Then a full set of tests weekly. I usually keep FC about 2-3ppm above...

    Night owl? Morning person?

I use to be up late, and sleep in as much as i could. Kids changed that! I don't have a set schedule at work so I like to get in at 7 and get out by 3. Getting up early stinks, but, coming home and still having some sunlight is better.

    Semi Inground / Buried Pools

2d inspection failed due to secondary boundary-bond fence-3 ft from waters edge

Just say "we decided to cut it out of the budget this year, and just fix the gate." Enough said. I used a zinc spring on mine. It works well from multiple distances.

New Radiant Metric pool in progress

I bet they may have wanted the winter cover back to see how it ripped and see if they can improve it. I emailed Radiant about a winter cover and they never got back to me. The local guys sold me a regular cover and it ripped on the caps between the coping connections. Id like to get the one...
