Robots look awesome.. but really needed?

Thanks for the ideas! Out of 3 test runs, it only wrapped it once (when I purposely started it close by the table). Will keep an eye on it. But man oh man, this thing picks up dirt I didn't even know was in the pool! I am digging it so far. The Baby Gate is a great idea... we have some of those...

Robots look awesome.. but really needed?

Well my one worry happened on the first go-round. Cord is going to wrap around the table. I’m going to have to find a way to block it

    Explorer E30 store upside down?

Got her today! Curious how many store them upside down like manual says?

    Just a Hello!

Thanks! I added 3 cups of 31% acid today and it drastically affected PH. But the TA didn’t budge. I’m assuming this is going to be a long process? Does TA take a while to knock down with multiple iterations of acid, or should I have seen some decrease today already?

    Just a Hello!

Thanks! Added my first batch of Muriatic acid today. PH dropped perfect, per Pool Math, from 7.8 to 7.4. Next up is to test the TA and see where we are at. Curious though - What drives the TA up? I tested my fill water and was at 60PPM out of my city water faucet. Perhaps TA was driven up by...

Hayward Aquarite Pro T-Cell15 Reading Low Salt

Following. These Hayward systems tend to continuously show low salt readings. Sorry for all the trouble, but really interested in your root cause, once found. My Hayward system continually says 2700-2800 when at 3200-3000 PPM, but it is an older cell.

    Just a Hello!

Hey all! This forum has been awesome so far and gave me the courage needed to dump my pool boy. Finally received my TF-100 Pro today and ordered and E30 robot cleaner. I’m also glad I reviewed in depth, as my salt cell generator has been screaming 2500 PPM but I actually measured 3800 PPM...

I received a response via email last night. Seems they work wee hours into the night and prefer email, but don’t pick up the phone.

Questions for Dolphin Robot Cleaner Owners

This is concerning. I have called and emailed trying to procure an E30 for the last three days to no avail. What happens when I have a service issue? every one talks great about Marina, but if they can’t answer to accept an order, I’m super hesitant to rely on it for a warranty repair. may...

Haha, I got the same midnight email service last night. I’m going to go with the E30 as that’s all they really have in stock.

Robots look awesome.. but really needed?

Looks like Marina Pool is really low on inventory. No Warrior SE / S200 / A20, A30, etc. But they do have the Explorer E30. Any feedback on the E30 and if it is pretty much the same robot as the ones mentioned above?

Robots look awesome.. but really needed?

Thanks for all the help every one! Well I made some progress this week. I officially fired my pool boy. I also went ahead and ordered the $164 TF-100 Pro test kit. Regarding the vacuum, I went and priced out the three options. Manual: $125-$200 for hose, cap, vacuum Suction side: $400 Robot...

    Hayward Tristar 900 “Speed Buttons”

Haha, thanks. It is OK. It seems to be how mine acts. I push speed 1, 2, 3, or 4 and will run until the next timer - Can no longer set the time for those speed buttons. Not a terrible thing, just a bit more limited.

Robots look awesome.. but really needed?

That is my concern.. shell out almost $1K for a robot to die within 2 years or so. Sorry to hear about your loss!

Robots look awesome.. but really needed?

Ah thanks! So the threads are for the cover.. in that link, is it smooth inside that cover, such that a press in hose would just push into?

Robots look awesome.. but really needed?

Thanks! I’m still not ruling out manually vacuuming. I did notice that I have a dedicated suction line today. That suction line has female threads at the pool wall. Is this common? Most pool vacuum hoses all seemed to be press fit style, not threaded inserts?

Robots look awesome.. but really needed?

Hey guys! New pool owner and have been using a pool service for about a year now. After having to install my own pump and research a ton, I’m planning on giving the pool service the boot and doing this myself. 14k Gallon pool, screen enclosure, Florida, Hayward SWG and Tristar 900. Pool also...

    Air Bubbles with Solar

You guys have been a tremendous help, thank you! I just successfully installed my new Hayward Tristar 900 and the pool is up and running. I now have some questions on air bubbles. I was advised that air bubbles in the pump lid are not good for the system.. true? I have a solar system that I...
