    Heaters

My PB asked me to wait for at least 10 days before I fired up our heater. That way we were sure the plaster was good and cured. I was continually brushing within that period of time.

    Blue Pearl or Polaris 360?

If I remember, the 360 does not require the booster pump and runs off of the pressure in existing return lines. Your only concern would be if you are generating enough pressure to get the cleaner running. Being able to isolate (restrict) some of the returns to increase that pressure would be...

    Blue Pearl or Polaris 360?

Jim, I have the Polaris 280 (w/ booster pump). I have no complaints to date. When guest come over, a quick release out of the side of the pool and the unit is out. I run mine for about an hour a day and my pool always stays clean. Good luck in your choice.

    Ideas anyone?

When you say softer, are you talking appearance or to keep people from knocking their knees/ splinters. Either way, I have a suggestion... Check out some of the Marine stores (WestMarine.com , Overtons.com) and look at the boat bumper section. They tend to have some smaller size rails that...

    Polaris 360 issues

Sure, I don't see why not. In fact, with the main drain on, as that tail whips back and forth on the Polaris, it will stir up debris and perhaps push it to the drain to be filtered. Good luck.

I currently have this one but do not like it. The post rotates in the base once the ball hits the backboard. Basketball Only I have also used this one and can now say, I should have bought another one. It is a 2 game in 1 pack (basketball/ volleyball) Basketball/ Volleyball combo I have not...

    Polaris 360 issues

TTKing, Outstretch your line and figure out which one (returns) gives you the most coverage. Do you have the ability to limit or block off some of the other returns. That may help increase the pressure a little to get that thing moving. You have a couple of adjustments on the Polaris itself...

Carboy Chlorine in Austin, TX area?

First off, welcome to TFP. Is this pool related, or are you running a home brewery??? I would imaging you should be able to locate something online and have it shipped in if all else fails. Good luck.

Overflow drain through skimmer worth it?

I actually have an overflow installed above my normal water line (tile line). I have roughly 10' of PVC running at a slight slope (all underground). At the end of the line, I have a guard so no debrit can get in the line. Below it is a 1' diameter hole about 2 feet deep filled with rock to...

Roger, Pics/ Pool are looking great. I get the award of being the safety concious nut on the forum. Notice your Propane tank by the AC compressor... Not a good mix. :( Had a friend blow a pretty big hole in his house dealing with the same thing. Sorry to be this way, but just don't want...

Thanks Sean. I knew you would jump in. And Carolyn, no harm intended on using name "Max" to respond. Most individuals do not want their name spread across the forum and I can respect that. Just ask TMQ, she can attest to that. And you ask, who is TMQ.... don't worry, she is everywhere...

    Maxsrents Pool build

Max, That is the million dollar question. Tons of threads and posts that you read, you will always learn something new. What some builders do and don't do. Every build is unique, there is no question about that. I can't answer your question as to whether it should or should not be included...

    Maxsrents Pool build

That area is basically an expansion joint between your deck and pool. I don't know the technical term of the material but I had an epoxy type caulk injected. It is flexible and also color matched to my deck/ flagstone. I am suprised that is not part of the build/ finishing touches from the...

    Deck/ Coping Sealers ???

It leaves no type of glossy finish, etc. Furthermore, the directions state that no masking, etc. is needed in/ around the pool. It dissipates within the pool.
