Is TFP seeling reagents internationally yet?

OK great thanks guys I will give them a try.....Look at you go Jezza, TPD guide now! :p I tried to put one of my colleagues onto the TFP method but he persists with the pool shop as they have him hoodwinked with their "pool science" and all the nonsense chemicals they peddle.....all I buy from...

I find the hair nets float up and spill the contents back into the pool when the filter turns off if you don't weigh them down.

    Australian Test Kit

LOL, hey Sal go the K2006C, bigger bottles, more reagent. Also order their salt test kit at the same time...plus some extra reagents to save getting more shipped out. I bought extra of the wrong reagents so I will have a look and advise the ones you should buy, some reagents I have enough to...

    Australian Test Kit

Yep that will be a good very option, hope it arrives without any issues. Although I spent hundreds on the kits I haven't been back to the pool shop for months and that's saved me $$$, pretty sure I had "Sucker" printed on my forehead when I was going to the local pool shop! Anyway I have been...

    Australian Test Kit

I purchased the K2006C + the salt test kit and extra reagents from Poolvacparts, despite the delay in sending (Due to out of stock at Taylor), once the kits & reagents arrived at Poolvacparts and they sent them to me the whole shipment arrived very quickly and without any customs issues. Their...

    Salsiccia from Australia

G'day Sal welcome, yes very helpful people on here, as a newby myself the best advise I can give is if you want to get the best guidance from TFP community, get yourself a pool test kit right away.

    Calcium flakes

I found the 10ml tests less accurate for some of the tests but that wasn't with the K2006

    Hi from Australia

Lucky you on the refund! Mine sits in the back of the cupboard under the K2006C. I think I got some strange results too but I haven't enough evidence to blame the test kit yet. Same reagents as the K2006 but different bottles so I wonder if its a drop size issue??

    Calcium flakes

Just the odd flake coming through now Jezza, really seems to have abated. Agreed, I need to add a little more "sunscreen" soon. What I am most interested in is if the TA suddenly jumps up again, unless that was just testing variability last time! Now I have the K2006C with extra reagents I...

    Calcium flakes

Sorry sorry, the pH is 7.5, typo! It dropped to 6.7 after I added the acid but has come up to 7.5 in the past week. So couple more days and will be at 7.7. Yes I used the probe to get the 6.7 reading but now using the kit, they are in synch as matter of interest.

    Calcium flakes

Today's results using the K2006C FC 5.2 CC 0 pH 7.5 TA 70 CYA 60 CH 470 Salt 5000 (target 4200) CSI -0.29 I manged to get the TA down by going hard with the acid, couple more days on aeration and the pH should be up to my target of 7.7 which will get my CSI on target (-0.1). But CH has...

    Australian Test Kit

Lettuce know how you go with the clearchoice option, I think they make their own reagents and may be different strengths to the Taylor? I had limited interaction with them but service was great for what I did have. I got the Taylor k2006C sent from poolvacparts and while it took ages to arrive...

    SWG output vs pump time

I ran 2 by three hour sessions per day so total of 6 and roped it to 5, surprised how fast the Cl dropped. Thanks for the advice might go back to 50% and longer pump time again.

    SWG output vs pump time

Happy Friday Until recently I ran the pump for 2x3hr sessions per day for total 6hrs per day, the SWG was set at 50%. Consistently getting FC results 6.8 to 7. I wanted to drop this to 5 so I set a new regime at 1x 3 and 1x2 for a total 5 hrs per day with SWG set at 100% expecting that...

What's The Most Helpful Advice You've Gotten From TFP?

The hair nets don't break down then? They are quite easy to tear and I was wondering if they break down and get stuck in the impeller!

What's The Most Helpful Advice You've Gotten From TFP?

As a newby/novice the fact I dont have to visit and get ripped off by the pool shop anymore is a major bonus since dicovering TFP, and keeping my pool in balance is like a new hobby rather than a chore.

    Calcium flakes

Hi Jezza No we are in Brisbane, we got a mini heat wave going on right now...thanks for the lead on borates and stain removal, I did add borates a few months ago but without a testing kit for borates I'm not sure what level is still in there, is it something that diminishes over time or is it...

    Calcium flakes

Thanks JN, council send letters when we have long showers, not sure what their reaction would be to using 20,000L ;) I will keep backwashing each time we have heavy rain and hopefully salt and CH it will drift down over time. I'm not too worried about the green staining on the pool surface (15...

    Calcium flakes

Yes all tests done woth the NQ-100, I don't think it's a testing kit issue rather its either my testing skills or a sudden jump in TA, however I usually test several times which I think I did for the last TA test, I wouldn't have listed 70 unless I was very sure. I take the test water from the...
