    New pool build in CA

Can't water it due to the release colored powder. Water will mess up the colored stamping. Otherwise I would be going to town! I will post my numbers once I get through the testing. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

No they just pour at 4am and have the plant add release to the mix to slow the curing process down. If we were to water the concrete it would mess up the colored powder that is stamped in. It will be all pressure washed off after a few days. Then you will see the details of the stamping...

The heat has slowed down the concrete but we are still making progress. Maybe one or two more days before the decking is complete!! Then we are less than a week from swimming, so relieved!! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    New pool build in CA

Luckily we don't get too many shakes here in the mountains. I think I want a little lighter than the crushed gravel and maybe slightly darker with the color powder they finish with. Gotta find a picture of something we both will like. No pavers for us as we have already blown our budget out...

Ok TPF we need your help once again! We are looking for ideas for our colored concrete pool decking. Our concrete guy is going to upgrade us to stamped at very little cost so now we are down to color. My wife kinda likes the color of the crushed rock base we have now but I am worried about...

Plankton, Thank you for the kind words about our pool! Things are finally starting to come together now that the rain is holding off. Burketts was awesome, they showed up early and stayed late to get the job done in one day. They will also be applying the Wet Edge in a few weeks. I was...

    Step louvered lights?

We are looking to add step lights on a sitting wall facing the pool deck. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on brand and types to consider? Hoping to find some that are good quality that will last. Thanks!

Question for everyone, we are going to have step lights added to the front on the planter box. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations on brands? I don't want to have to replace them all of the time. Thanks!

    New pool build in CA

Hello all! Not much has been done since the last update as we have had rain. We are meeting with our concrete guy this afternoon to try and lock down a start day, weather permitting of course. I was wondering where you all buy your liquid chlorine and muriatic acid from? My PB said he...

Thanks Kim! They will still be adding the remaining stones to the sides and back of the waterfall. Not sure what we will do with any extra just yet, my wife will find a home for them I'm sure!

I almost can't believe it but the waterfall is almost done and the ground work is a half day away from being ready for forming and rebar! Tomorrow the waterfall will be finished and the glass tile step markers set. Concrete guy says we should be looking to pour in about two weeks with his...

The bad part is neither one of us are good with plants, lol! Hopefully we can find some nice ones that aren't too much maintenance and that can handle our climate, I see a trip to the local nursery in our future!

A little more progress yesterday before the crazy rain came back today. Got the planter box in which is 42ft long! What were we thinking? Lol. Waterfall should finally start Monday as long as the rain stays away for long enough..... Sent from my XT1096 using Tapatalk

    Remodel In Phoenix, AZ

Not sure of prices in your area but we purchased our tile on our own. We have 80 lineal feet of step markers which will need 14 sq ft of tile, cost $250 for the tile. Our PB had us buy the tile and is only going to charge us labor to install. Not nearly as expensive as I originally thought.

Thank you, we copied the glass tile from Mooveebuff's build. You are right, it looks much better in person. The pool is quite large at 801sq ft, anything smaller would have looked tiny in our backyard. Sent from my XT1096 using Tapatalk

    New pool build in CA

A little update : Deck grading started this week along with adding drain rock on the back side of the pool. Made that decision after seeing how much clay is on our soil. This should insure that our patio deck doesn't get ruined by the expansion of clay. Hopefully this will be done this...

Progress has resumed! Guys were out yesterday to set the coping stone. They ended up finishing half of the pool coping and grout work along with the majority of the stone around the spa. Today they hope to have it all finished so they can focus on the rock waterfall next week! On a side...
