Would it matter that I took the sample in the morning as the pump was off and off all night??

i think i do have to get my out test kit. pool store is now telling me i have 80cya? how is this possible i havent even added any. the only thing i can think of is when i took a water sample the pump was not running could this affect it that much???

one side that is leaking it attached to filter. i could disconnect other side that is going to heater, but if i tighten it wont it break the silicon that they applied and become worse?

when im using the triangle brush the hose will sometimes gets pinched inside the skimmer, do i need a regulator valve? or can i place the hose above the skimmer opening?
