I have read in Pool School that CYA may not show up in testing until a week or so after adding. Is this only if you slowly dump it into the skimmer allowing it to dissolve in the filter or is it true even if you dissolve it with the skimmer sock method? Thanks

Another way to increase your FC is to run the SWG longer. Example: I am currently running my SWG at 30% for about 5 hours a day. This gives me an "in range" fc reading consistantly but I am still tweaking. My SWG is oversized, this the 30%. Most run at 40-60%

bob, I do not think I can run at 750 rpm and still ahve my skimmers work well. Unless you are saying run that low just to filter etc? I do not think I can answer your "What rpm is your most efficient pump rate?" question as I do not know.

I was given a very nice handrail for my wide stairs going into my pool. Will I need to drill 2 holes about 3" in diameter into the concrete to install this or does anyone make a baseplate that would allow mw to drill 4 small holes and install threaded anchors for a base plate instead? Thanks

Follow up. With SWG on 20% and running 3 hrs a day, I am losing about 3 FC ppm/day (partly sunny). I will continue this until it reaches ~7ppm and then increase to 30% and see if it holds. Regards,
