Best i can tell, it shows your plumbing is backwards. The pipe from top of pump should enter the inlet on the filter directly which is the top of the 2 fittings. Not sure how the previous person plumbed them with a t fitting so water can go either direction. The outlet from the bottom fitting...

Is that pump running on 110 or 220? If 220 it might have one of the legs not always coming on at start up. Dirty contactor possibly?

Coleman is a rebadged intex/bestway pool. Fittings should all be the same. However a pic would be nice to see whats going on. Yes, those intex cleaners run off of the return water to clean the pool. What size pool pump does your pool have? Intex i believe recommends at least 1600gph pump...

Not positive on this, but i would think that all sc40 pipes and unions and connectors, regardless of who makes it, would be interchangeable. Might want to talk to someone who has more knowledge though.

About the only way you can find out if the holes from the old skimmer will be covered/cut out is to measure the hole locations to each other side to side and up/down as needed. Once you have those dimensions, you can research new skimmers and find the skimmer mouth openings dimensions to one...

I use mine as it is not feasible ti pick up my cartridge pump/filter due to it being semi hard plumbed. They work as intended but easy to forget. I check my flow after changing the filter out to make sure its working now just as quick reminder. Saved me more than once. When this pump dies...

I am going to guess a pump intake hose had the cap on it? Or both? I've forgotten to take mine off after changing the cartridge or cleaning it before. Thats my guess.
