I have the Jandy 3 way valves. When I move it toward the main drain being off, I get lots of bubbles in the pump basket...not enough to lose prime but there is definitely an air leak. When it is open (both skimmer and main drain on), or just the skimmer off, I have no issues with air bubbles...

This is a straight up newbie question... I read online (on several different websites) that the pump should be off when adding baking soda to raise TA. Guess I've been doing that wrong! I always turn my SWG off before adding anything, but I was surprised to read about the pump and baking...

I would guesstimate about 1.5 lbs is currently in the water, and the other 1.5 lbs in the sock now.

PoolMath says to add 224 ounces of CYA (measured by weight) to get to a level of 70. So, when I add chlorine tomorrow evening I will assume all 48 ounces has been dissolved, which would be 21.4% of my total CYA added. 21.4% of 70 would be 14.98% of assumed CYA floating...is this a correct way...
