    Circupool Core55 or RJ60?

The RJ series is the most robust, not that the Core is terrible, but still. For a 5k difference in rating, the RJ60 puts out 35% more FC, needing that much less runtime, getting that much more lifespan. So to be a wash the RJ has to be 35% more cost, and the RJ still wins being...

We disagree there. We belive your minimum is 3 FC, not your ceiling. I stay more than 3 away from min at all times.

A quiet pump for my above ground pool

This gave me pause earlier because its only 240v but the drive also accepts 120v ? Or maybe they're calling the optional automation controller doohickie the 'drive' and *that* accepts either.

Ok I had a minute but couldnt find the 3HP manual. The 1.5 only has 2 lugs so no neutral. I'm moderately certain the bigger pump would be the same. Lol.

240V typically doesnt unless it has electronics that need it like the clock on an oven. Let's ask @SJPoe @1poolman1 @wireform because I'm running out and don't have time to find the manual. Hang tight.

    Stuck on 2200 Salinity

You know you have 2 clocks and at least one of them is wrong. With the typical variance of the cell reading, your actual could be swinging while the cell reports the same number. The handheld meters can be off by a similar wide range. Maybe at +/- 500 they are both reasonably right...

No Idea. If I hit the lottery and no longer cared about anything, I'd just replace as many as I needed. Currently, I'd add 5 or 10 degrees to whatever the manufacturer says. It's in the manual. * edit. Ok they say 55 for the evo, so i say 65. Just my broke butt opinion...

Any reason to not use robot cleaner in cold water (52F)

There are two HUGE reasons IMO. 1) Gaskets which will be the failure of your robot when they let water inside. Not if, but when. 2) cold water.

Above ground VS - extremely limited options. Doheny or Black&Decker?

I missed the 110v part. Apologies. Inground pumps need to be self priming but won't hurt/matter for you if you find a good one. 'Inground filters' are no different besides typically being bigger. (And many are also better quality, albeit at a cost).

After I typed that it hit me that I can't speak to how bright the LED floodlights are. You may want more of them if not using the 500W with the snap on lens cover. I don't put much stock on the shining at the house stuff. More often than not, if the lights are on, youre not in that part...

Gallons are gallons and the chemistry doesnt care how much you spent getting those gallons. Algae free is different from being sanitary. Copper is not a contact killer so how much bacteria and such you wish to bathe in, is up to you. Me too. You should stick with chlorine. (y)

Is this a good price ..

4 foot water depth is much better IMO. I believe the above ground pools got it right being a bit taller. They feel way more swim-y and less stand-y than the shallow end of most ingrounds. Yes. Cannonball may hit bottom for teens or adults

Is this a good price ..

Yes you will hit. I hate it because its uncomfortably akward. It's too shallow to bob/float and too deep to sit. But my fiberglass stairs were 4 ft so I had to go 3.5 ft water height. I didn't want liner over stairs / custom depth because of the dogs. So I accepted a too shallow...

Is this a good price ..

Ask 100 people and get 100 opinions. Nobody is wrong here. I wanted a swimming pool so I cut the shallow end down to 12 ft long (of my 40). Others want more shallow end. Other others want all shallow end. The kids will be fish on week 3. They will also happily adapt to anything...
