Replace pentair I-40 with I-60 or newer

I run mine at low RPMs so it skims well, which also activates the SWG. Then I bring it inside for winter.

    Pool Still Cloudy

This could be part of the problem. Robots aren't meant for heavy duty muck and you may be stirring up crud leaving it to slow the process. How often were you testing/adding with LC ?

    HELP with Flashing Green Light

Nor did you check it after, before messing with things. Thats 2 critical mistakes. You were about to harmfully acid wash your cell, also on a hunch, for a 3rd strike. Involving a 3rd party muddies the water further. Please test the salinity and report back. *noticing a theme here ...

Pay for professional leak detect or get new liner?

With an above ground pool the new liner probably costs less than the leak detection. But that doesn't install the liner, so there is that too.

    Calcium level drop over winter

It doesn't. It just needs a good 24 hours to mix upon opening the same way you wouldn't trust a calcium addition a couple hours later. Yours has run plenty, so that's not a factor here. (y) I thought about my bench but figured it may pull water from 18 inches down that still had some...

    Calcium level drop over winter

With a mesh cover you get lots of rain dilution when the pool is closed for 2/3 of the year. You either pumped it out or it overflowed. I started draining only the top few inches by suspending the pump in a bucket and retained most of my chemicals two years in a row. I used to lose at...

Localised itching on back - from the jets?

I'm thinking it's a sensitive area from rarely being exposed to anything.

No heater but it was 84 on the backyard weather station on Saturday. Lol.

Localised itching on back - from the jets?

That doesn't help *for* the soak. You're being exposed to what's causing the rash during the soak, not after. Purge the tub with ahhsome at that time.

How to clean Polaris p95** filters?

Got pics ? What is it clogged with ? (Pollen/debris, calcium scale, etc) Either way I'd probably soak it in a 10 (water) to 1 muriatic acid bath for 24 hours. It's currently ruined so you can't ruin it worse.

Localised itching on back - from the jets?

With a hot tub you should be dosing to 10+ (@50 CYA) and falling back into target range. One of *you* in 500 gallons is the same as 68 people in my pool, and those people aren't being stewed into people soup.

How bad is this pool opening?

That's ALOT of words for brush, vac and skim. De-winterizing is kinda unnecessary also but sounds fancier than 'opening'. I tried to make 'summerizing' become a thing for my snowblower and pool but it didn't take off. Anywho, the leaves they dumped in didn't settle right away...

    Draining Pool

+3 There is no 'keep around' with a FC target. Its like saying you keep your gas tank around 1/2 with a 2 hour commute to work each way. You use 1/2 a tank and put it back in every day. If you're losing 4ppm a day in sunny CA, you start at 6 and end at 2. At the bare minimum when...

    Why is FC still zero?

The CYA test need bright overhead sun, not 5pm still plenty light out.... sun. Sometimes it has to wait for your schedule and the weather to cooperate.

Please help my pool boy. Pics for reference.

How often do you typically test ? The FC is dipping if you get alage after fully compmeting a slam. There are no two ways about it. Its not the *anything else*, it's the FC dipping. :) The problem with SWGs is that we get lulled into testing less frequently than we should. You...

It was wild going into rotator surgery with a working arm and coming home 'fixed' with an arm that was dead as a doornail. Then some days later it moved an inch. Then an inch point 0001. Then an inch point 0002. :ROFLMAO:

UL rated sump pump to drain pool

IMO, UL or not. (y) Cords rub on the patio. Rodents chew the cord in storage A common fail point is the cord connection at the pump from pulling it out. Visual inspection only does so much and I wouldn't ever let anyone in the pool with a 110V electrical device.

Pool Water test kit for inground with SWG

That only has more calcium and TA tests, which are both very stable and can be tested monthly or maybe even bi-monthly. The TFpro salt has about 50% more FC tests than the K2006C, and you'll be testing that daily. The salt version of the TFPro includes the $30 salt kit for only $20 more...
