@sande005 Cartridge set up! Copy that, the way my yard is graded I don't think that is a huge issue but something to add an outlet for in addition to the 3 way valves at the pump filter for sure. A buddy of mine has an in ground and he uses one of those 100' "lay flat" hoses when he drains down...

Alrighty so I didn't quite make my plumbing list last night since I was fooling around with layouts on the plumbing. Originally, I had everything at the back of the yard but then I realized I would have to do all of that after pool construction since the gate (in between the black lines) is...

@Newdude believe me I already saved that picture for ideas when I first started this thread!!😉. Simple and low cost

Yeah, again I'm kind of skeptical how much of a thermal barrier it will be, more so for the visual 😂😂. Got the numbers from the installer today and an install date of April 29th! JRL Pool Installers is the company used by Niagra Pools $3,200 price for the below Pool install = $2900 Wall foam...

So that was my main thought with the foam with this style pool. I know it wont do 💩 for insulation it was more for that tiny bit of cushion and more importantly (for my sake) I wouldn't be able to the corrugation or gaps in the aluminum panels lol.

So equipment is picked out, we will be adding an additional skimmer and return to the pool since you need to buy the extra slats from Wilbar when you order the pool. Next thing is padding, I know there is very mixed opinions on wall foam, foam cove, and floor padding. Foam cove is foam cove so...

I think he understood it just fine! 😂. Thanks for sharing I like how it's all contained in one box, that's one of those Intermatic control boxes I assume? Was looking some up over the weekend.

Welp, deposit has been paid with a date for install in May TBD!!!!!! @Newdude would you be able to share a few pics of your electrical on the post in front of the equipment? Just looking at some different ideas. I have a few already but it looks like yours is all contained in the box?

Was reading the manual a bit for install and trying to find the warranty info. For backfill is sandy soil considered "clean, compacted, granular material"? Confirmed through the dealer that a salt system does not void warranty. Last thing is the extra skimmer and the extra return components, I'm...

Yup was already looking into that! Y-Buy is the place too, cheaper than 90% of the others and they do weekend rates. I will have to see about space though There may not be enough room around the pool to fit the dingo without risking it compacting the soil near the pool too much. Worst comes to...

Saturday night thoughts here lol, does anyone know where to find the warranty documentation for the Sharkline Oasis EAW pool? I emailed Niagara earlier this week asking for it and they just haven't sent it yet, just want to read it for myself prior to signing next week! Tried finding it online...

Just wanted to say thank you for recommending MVA!!!!! I'll be doing the backfill (by hand with wheelbarrows 😅) but he gave me a more than fair price for the excavation and haul away for the project. Was kind of shocked at the price to be honest it wasn't too much more than what I was estimating...

@Newdude @dleonard1122 See that's why I came here lol, I did not know about the 3 way valves, being rebuildable it a great plus!

    18 x 33 x 56" Semi-In Ground NJ

In all reality an MPV could just be replaced with a tee and 2 ball valves would you agree? Seeing as they are $150-200 I could easily make that mod for $20 Page 3 BTW 😂😂😂

Fair enough, like you mentioned previously you could get 2 of the Calimer for the cost of 1 Circupool pumps if it did 💩 the bed, and is still $600 cheaper with the 3 year extended warranty. Just want to read into the rebates/warranties on both more and will do that this weekend. I do think i...

I am a little north of you on the West Deptford/Westville boarder, close enough lol! I will definitely reach out to MVA for pricing. I did reach out to another company for excavating and they were much cheaper than what Niagra pool was for the excavation excluding the backfill. The more I read...

I am seeing that the more I read on here! I really have no input because Ive never owned a pool so putting trust in people on here for guidance on the filtration! I agree with the upgrade, even going from the 275 to the 500 sqft isn't too bad at $250 which is basically the cost of the pre filter...

Figured I would add at least the filtration/sanitation systems on here that I have compiled, I am still reading up on here with the Cartridge vs Sand filters so that decision is yet to be made for sure. Everyone in our are has sand I'm not sure if that's a climate thing or just what every pool...

Very well! RJ-45 it is, the calculators I checked put it anywhere from 16.5k-19k gallons since this is a 56" pool, granted I know it isn't going to be filled to the top but even if it was that size is still good. Soon to be 3 😂, just need to gather my info an make a decision in the next few...

Oh absolutely thats how my luck usually works it could be raining 🐱and id get hit in the head with, well, you know the rest 😂😂😂😂😂. I think the turnover for that pump you mentioned was 8hrs for 20k, but I just threw out 10 thinking I could run over night. With your graph you're saying that...

Nope not from the builder we are using was just looking on pool supply unlimited and that was just another one they had with good reviews. If I can get something that's cheaper and just as reliable I'm all for it! Yes I already have it in the drawing that there will be a timer, from what I've...

@Mdragger88 you say to steer away from the SWG, what about the Hayward Aquarite Pro 40k? Whole kit is $1900 for the control panel, cell, and the in-line anode. Again, not that we are pinching pennies or have an unlimited budget but I am very much a fan of buy once cry once 😂😂😂. With the pump...

Ok so using an in ground for above ground is not a problem but the other way around would be I'm guessing since it's above the surface of the water. Your right that claimer isn't a bad price at all! Now when you get up into the higher power range do you need to have more than one skimmer to...

@Mdragger88 @Newdude I know I’ll probably say it 100 times as this thread progresses but thank you for all the info! I don’t want to say we are pinching pennies for the budget, Ideally we wanted to stay below $25k as we are already spending about $5k running service to the garage early fall...
