    ScreenLogic / EasyTouch Scheduling Problem

You can't control the Intelliflo too much when it is connected but it will give you alerts and information on pump status etc. and you can program some of the configuration that is not done via the EasyTouch / Intellicenter.

    ScreenLogic / EasyTouch Scheduling Problem

Controls newer Pentair 'connected' products like the IntelliFlo3. It doesn't do very much when its controlled by automation but you can program the pump through it when its not, you don't need a keypad/screen anymore.

    ScreenLogic / EasyTouch Scheduling Problem

Hey @Jimrahbe, yes, heard the Intelliflo 3 pump come on was what I meant. I get that its not normal but there is definitely some randomness too it. After erasing both the EasyTouch and the Intelliflo memory over the weekend and rebuilding all the data with Pentair support's assistance...

    ScreenLogic / EasyTouch Scheduling Problem

@Jimrahbe **Seemingly random. For example: we have nice weather here in S. FLorida right now, slept with the door open last night. Heard it come on at 9pm and had never noticed it doing that at that time before. The night before was at 11pm and 3AM. Its a difficult thing to pinpoint...

    ScreenLogic / EasyTouch Scheduling Problem

Hi Dirk, Yes, had been successfully running 11 or 12 schedules previously with no issues, started behaving strangely just recently. The random running in the middle of the night doesn't seem related to scheduling, we'll see if the erase and reprogram fixes that as well.

    ScreenLogic / EasyTouch Scheduling Problem

Checked on the easytouch, no unwanted schedules so went with EEprom erase and reprogram, we'll see how that goes. THx

Hey Jim, I have 9 schedules and 0 egg timers. But even if I was over, why would it run a M-F program on the weekends?

    ScreenLogic / EasyTouch Scheduling Problem

Been having some persistant issues with schedules through screenlogic/easytouch 4. On the weekend I have a Sat/Sun schedule that is supposed to run. You can see it in the attached screenshot. Instead, screen logic is running and showing the M-F schedules as active on the weekends. I...

Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF & Quick clean question.

You are 100% correct. I just tried it again, in service mode, and even though the button was purple it did let me run the QuickClean from the app and the button. Good to know! Thanks @jwiegley ! Not sure if I did something wrong the first time or if something changed but it is definitely...

    Review: New Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF

Actually this rule comes directly from the installation manual for the new pump, which comes from the engineering/design team of the people who design, manufacture and support the pump. IMHO anything else is opinion and conjecture. But.... if we're going down that road, I believe it has more...

    Review: New Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF

Hi Ruthie, congrats, I think you'll be really happy with it. Without knowing your existing setup it would be hard to say, but your filter and electrical should be just fine. The smallest out of the box intake size for the I3 is 2", but again without knowing your setup and needs hard to say if...

    Review: New Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF

Yeah, Thats tight, you'd be exactly at the limit with a 0" intake, so you're not going to have recommended intake length or service space behind. I would consider a 2" 90 on that stub, to a 2" x 10" intake to the filter turned sideways, and then just extend the power and the return?

    Review: New Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF

Actually, looking at it again, you may not need to, the length of the Intelliflo 3 is only 26", which seems shorter than your current pump? Also, the installation manual says it requires only 3" of rear clearance so you may have plenty of room with your current layout?

    Review: New Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF

Pictures are helpful. Nice setup. I understand why you think you need a 2.5 coupler now. Not sure of the height differences between those pumps, you might need some shims, but that technically should work, however you definitely don't have the recommended space to do a 10-12" intake, so could...

    Review: New Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF

@wireform : A picture would probably be helpful to see what you're dealing with. I'm not an expert on hydraulics but I dont think expanding to 2.5" for the last few inches will have any positive effects, so you could use a 2" coupler just the same. To avoid priming issues and extend pump life...

    Review: New Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF

The Intelliflo 3 can do 2”, 2 1/2” or 3” and comes with reducers so you can go directly with the 2” without a coupling. Heres my setup using 2” pipe, you can see the reducer on the intake side with the coupling. Make sure your intake length is correct according to the instructions, theres a...

Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF & Quick clean question.

They do have a quick clean button regardless of whether you have a keypad or not. You can see below, but as long as the "connect" button is purple, meaning connected to automation, no matter what state the easytouch is in (Auto,Service,or Timeout), the quickclean button won't function...

New pool need help with pump settings

Hey Billy, Welcome. I have had these pumps for years, its not like a car engine where stops and starts cause extra wear, I stop and start my pool several times a day for years and its no issue for the pump so I wouldnt base my scheduling decision on concerns over stopping and starting. The...

Mixing acid and Baking soda in a Stenner ?

Hey Reggie, Yeah, I have given it a lot of thought lately because of all the hassle coming up around it. As I mentioned this is a courtyard home, the entire house wraps around the pool and the waterfall is at the center. My wife and I both work from home, both of our offices look out at the...

Mixing acid and Baking soda in a Stenner ?

Mixing acid and Baking soda in a Stenner ?

THe suggestion was to run TA at 50 to keep the ph from running up, and during swim season I wouldn't keep my ph above 7.8, that could lead to sacrificing bather comfort for the sake of the chemicals which seems backwards to me. Also my borates are at 45, supposedly to help stabilize the PH...

Mixing acid and Baking soda in a Stenner ?

Thats pretty much in line with everything I've seen thus far. My thinking is that since its an imperfect science, although neither condition is desirable, I'd rather error more on the plus side of having a small build up since its noticeable and more correctable vs. etching, corrosion etc...

Mixing acid and Baking soda in a Stenner ?

I was trying err more on the safer side of 0-+30 for two reasons, I'm not completely comfortable that I can keep the pool in balance yet, and perhaps more to avoid further research, ie. what are the effects the further to the negative side of the scale you slide. WHo decided -.31 is bad and...
