24' above ground pool took a real beating this winter, repairable?

I'm in an area which gets significant amount of snow, so I figured mother nature would catch up with me someday, but this is a weird failure. While the liner is obviously toast, the pool wall itself is just gone around the return outlet. There was no visible physical damage at the end of last season.

I can't find much about patching this type of damage, or if it's even worth it. Ignoring the cost of the liner (I was planning on replacing it this season anyways), is this repairable? I'm considering getting rid of it due to lack of use, unless it's an affordable fix. Pool is about 15 years old, liner is 4-5 years old.

Bruh, that’s done for.
 
We had a rusted wall at the skimmer and return openings.
Cut out the rusted section, bolted a stainless steel panel to that section of the pool, cut out openings for the skimmer and return outlet and then made sure we covered the bolts with duct tape before installing a new liner and reattaching the skimmer and return "housings".
Been working well for 6 years. There's great videos out there on how to do it.
I'll try and remember to get a picture of it tomorrow during the day.
 
The pic with the item circled shows the bolt heads from the inside of the pool. They were covered with duct tape. It's held up very well over the years.

Thanks for taking the time to post these pictures, really appreciated! I found some generic repair kits on Amazon, tempted to give it a try since it's less than $50 as long as I can find a good deal on liners. Thanks again!
