Pool Size
38000
Surface
Vinyl
Chlorine
Liquid Chlorine
Pool is clear water temp is just below 50 degrees.

FC 9
Cc 1.5
TA 110
Salt 3400
PH 8.0 ( hard to test in the rain with zero sun)
Calcium 400
CYA 90 (also hard to test when it’s overcast but it’s about the same as last Sunday)

Other than drop the PH anything else to do ?

Check the FC/CC in a while. The CCs could be from the storm last night, or from being too close to min. (7 for your 90 CYA)

Thanks I added one gallon of liquid shock and turned the pump on early because I don’t usually have any CC level. I’ll add 1/4 gallon of muriatic acid and see where that lands me.

After shocking the pool and adding the muriatic acid the

FC is 15
CC is zero
PH is 7.5

I did not repeat the other tests. I cannot wait for the water to get to 65 degrees so I can pull the pucks. My Cynaric acid levels keep me up at night. I am off site Monday-Friday and cannot treat the pool with straight liquid daily. If I lived with my pool I would not even go swg. The daily dose of liquid is so much easier than what I’m doing now with dumping water and refilling re balancing and now adding salt all for very little reduction in CYA.IMG_3979.jpeg

Great. For insurance do this tonight...Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
I think next weekend I’ll go out Friday night and do the overnight test. Can get there at 10pm will test and again at 8am. Will that work ? Then I will shock the pool to use up some powdered shock I have every few hours Saturday and Sunday. Then I will be having surgery and will be unable to check the pool for 4 weeks. I hired a pool company and they will service it weekly. I have them my chart for FC to CYA and they will comply if I provide chemicals. I am. Hoping for the best. When I ordered the SWG I did not realize temperature was a limiting factor

Yeah. You're good on those for a couple weeks.

Yup. You'll have FC in there when you get there and you want the same FC in the morning.

There might not be a need if the OCLT passes. And you test, then bring FC back to SLAM level. There's no willy nilly adding of stuff here. It's precision dosing as/when warranted.

Well that's the bad and good news. Bad news: it might not work yet. Good news: daily demand it still real low and the SWG will come online several weeks before demand spikes.

I'd let the Ph be but no harm comes either way if you dose or don't.

Good luck with the surgery and have a speedy recovery. :)

It was wild going into rotator surgery with a working arm and coming home 'fixed' with an arm that was dead as a doornail. Then some days later it moved an inch. Then an inch point 0001. Then an inch point 0002. :ROFLMAO:

Numbers as of last night
FC 17
CC 0
Salt 3400
Alk 100
Calcium 400
PH. 7.4
CYA 90

Added 1/2 gallon muriatic acid
3 each. 40lb bags of salt
1 gallon of super shock

This is how I’m turning it over to the pool care company. Balanced, Crystal clear and clean.
