Pool water quit rotating

GM! I’ve been doing SLAM for 3 weeks now. I can see bottom of pool and passed OCLT although not crystal clear so keeping at it. Pump pressure steady at 5, return from jet feels the same, and no one has been in the pool to adjust the direction it’s aimed. BUT my water has stopped rotating. How is that possible? Anything I can check? I’m at a loss. Thank you!

Few questions:
How often do you test FC and raise to SLAM level?
How many OCLTs have you passed?
When did you last backwash your filter?
 
I test FC every 2-3 hours from 8am to 10pm. I test CC every few days just to see the improvement (started at 6). CC has been .5 for a few days and passed OCLT this morning. The filter sits at 5 and I backwash when it gets to about 7-8. Usually first thing in the morning I can see the June bugs and pollen rotating around in the pool and I test FC and check the filter, backwash if needed, add bleach, skim out bugs and brush the pool. This morning the bugs weren’t rotating and I was afraid I had no flow from the return but the filter was sitting at 5 and I felt the jet pressure and it felt normal. I backwashed just to see if pressure gauge was stuck. Still no rotation as yet. I have no clue. I am going to stay with SLAM until crystal clear but no rotation has me concerned. Thank you!
 
First, you are doing great. Testing every couple hours is great.
You are backwashing exactly as necessary.
I would not worry about the rotation, wind can overcome rotation.
Sand filters take the longest to clear, I'm confident you will get it.
Did you take out ladders/stairs and scrub inside and out?
 
I took out the ladder to scrub it around day 5 and the crud that came out of it was AWFUL! There was no way I was putting that back in the pool so I bought a new one and am waiting to put it in. The pool has been completely empty. I have been brushing the pool at least 2-3 times a day. I somehow haven’t run out of POP yet (have come close LOL) and can finally see the finish line is close. I’ll keep an eye on the rotation. THANK YOU!
